Chapter 4The landscaping of Lapyx Incorporated was incredible.
Tonya realized that was a pretty nerdy thought to have, but perhaps it was the nascent horticulturalist in her. She’d had a lot of time on her hands in prison, and so, she took advantage of having Ruby, a former swamp witch, as her cell mate. They’d read about flowers and their magical properties until their eyes blurred. Tonya liked the diagrams in Ruby’s textbooks, especially those that focused on bioluminescence. She’d merely thought of those study sessions as a way to pass the time before, maybe with a little brightness added in, but now she realized how paramount it was to her survival.
