Caleb's question took me completely by surprise. "Wh– What?" I stuttered. The questions he was asking got more and more complicated by the day, and although I knew I was not obligated to answer them immediately, how many questions was I going to keep pending this way? Every he asked got more complicated than the previous one. "You heard me." He stated in reply, a quiet acknowledgment. "No." I said, my breathing deep and heavy. "You didn't hear me?" He raised an eyebrow. I just stared at him. "Oh." He mumbled, something draining from his voice. Was that.. hope? His expressions neutralised. "This was the answer to the question I asked." I gulped. "Is isn't personal," I commented, making reference to the exact words he had said to me last night. He scoffed in return. "Seriously, Pri
