Drake had been walking towards the President’s office while his heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. Losing his job was going to be very painful for him. Now everything that he had worked so hard for, his studies and degrees would all go to waste. The bright future that he had envisioned for himself, a promotion and his dreams, everything was going to be destroyed. He felt like crying. He had been elated when he had gotten this job. His background had not been as strong as the other candidate. He had tried for positions at many other companies but they all wanted a candidate with a strong background. They wanted a candidate from a wealthy family that had attended a large college. Drake had checked any of their boxes. He had graduated from a normal college even though the school had not been normal, but he just had no desire to even think about his college days right at the moment. He was already highly disturbed over his job. He did not have the mental capacity at the moment to think about his time at school. This had been the only company that had not cared about his background. They had just wanted a talented individual. They had recognized his talent and saw his potential, but he had been the one who had not attended the meeting and offended the President. He stood outside of the President's office. He looked around, it seemed to be a very large area. It was too quiet, no one was coming or going from this area. Maybe no one had dared to come here after what had transpired at the meeting. Everyone had witnessed his cruelty to the Manager then who would dare to come near him, he thought. This entire area had given him the chills. The stillness of this area was worrisome. He took a deep breath then knocked on the door. He entered the office and closed the door behind him. As he took in the office, his eyes widened due to shock. He had never seen an office this beautiful before, it was so big. Everything was neat, clean, and well organized. The office was nicely chilled due to the air conditioner. There was a slightly sweet smell that had permeated the entire room. Drake closed his eyes and took in a deep whiff of it, it was so good. He did not want to open his eyes. When he had closed his eyes he had been brought back to the sweetest moment of his life. He had been smiling thinking about it but at the same time it was the most painful moment of his life. He quickly opened his eyes so that he would not slip into his fantasy. He was twenty six years old and was about to lose his job. There was no use in him remembering all of those memories that would only cause him pain. But did his memories really give him pain or was it pleasure, he asked himself this question a lot as he tried to forget about the past. He had never smelled this type of fragrance, but no one was there. He walked closer to the desk, noticing that there were numerous files there and they all looked official. There was a photo frame but the front of the frame was not facing towards him because of this he could not see who the photo was of. He knew the photo would be of the President in some way. He wanted to see his face, but he did not touch any of that. He wondered what he should do? Should he wait for him or just leave and come back later? But if he waits here there is the possibility that he would scold him for staying there when he was not in his office. If he left then he would think that he had not obeyed him or he would think that he had not come to meet with him. He had been thinking so much that he had grown frustrated. He was not able to come to a decision about what he should do. At that moment, he felt someone's presence behind as two hands grasped his thin waist. These hands were holding him. He was startled, he knew that it had to be the new President. Other than him no one else would be in his office like this. Drake became scared. The man behind him had the body of a beast. He had covered his whole body with his. Drake had tried to free himself from the man’s grip but he tightened his hold on his waist only to have him growl in frustration. Hearing the growl that had rumbled from the chest behind him Drake immediately gave up his struggle and stood still. He had heard way too many dangerous things about the new President, he knew that if he offended him again that he would kill him. But he could not understand why he was touching him like this. Had he thought that he was a thief or something? “Sir! Please let me go,” Drake pleaded in a low tone, but he did not get any response from him. He could feel that the man behind was taller than him. He did not know whom he was talking to but he just wanted him to let go of his waist. Hearing that the hold on his waist grew tighter than before. Drake began to panic further. Was this man really crazy? He wondered. His back was fully resting against Drake’s, he could feel all of the hard plains of it. It was like he was hugging him from behind, but the scent that was coming off of the man that had enveloped him was very familiar Drake thought. The smell of his body was so masculine, but it kept hinting at a memory that was just out of Drake's reach. The warmth of his body felt amazing, he didn't know why it was making his heartbeat fast. He had experienced this warmth before, it was so familiar to him. That was when the image of someone appeared in Drake's mind as he had finally been able to place this man's scent. He grew even more alarmed as he tried to push the man behind him away, but it ended up being a waste of time as he was not able to move from his hold. This man was too strong for him. As he had moved the grip on his body grew tighter, like a snake with their prey, as Drake suffered through a flood of his memories. Suddenly the man pushed Drake against the wall, due to fear Drake closed his eyes. He had not seen his face. He knew he was standing over him. Drake could feel his breath brushing against his lips like he was seconds away from kissing him. Drake’s nose had been inundated with his aroma causing him to grow light headed. His smell had reminded him of the past, of the man who he had run away from. He was trembling in fear just from thinking about him. How was this possible? How could two men smell so similar to one another? He had only smelled that fragrance on one person, this man's touch on his body was so familiar. The man was touching his body like he had been well acquainted with it even more so than Drake himself. He felt that the man was brushing his fingers across his lips, his body was reacting in the wrong way. The way the man had touched Drake he was sure that it was him. He instantly opened his eyes and saw him, his mind went blank as he took in the person in front of him. "EDWARD!!!" He screamed in his mind.
