The road to recovery was a long, slow and painful one for Vincent. The healing process of the bones actually was fairly quick, given how much damage had been done. What took the longest was the rehabilitation he needed to do. Spending about a month or two of one's feet did tend to cause the legs to deteriorate. He not only needed to relearn how to walk but to also strengthen his muscles up to where they would support him without help.
