“Vampire?”
The word sounds so ridiculous leaving my lips. The logical side of my brain is screaming for me to listen. To run out of this room and forget these people and their wicked lies. However, there is a stronger part of me that knows that what I am hearing is true. Its like I’ve always known somehow, but the information was kept hidden from view for all these years. I could sit here all night, cross-examining the cases I’ve worked over the years here in this crazy city. In my time on the force, I’ve come across many cases that simply defy explanation. Cases that have left some of the best detectives in the world scratching their heads… and now… now I know why.
This world is not the world I thought it was and now that I know this, everything has changed.
