EIGHT MONTHS LATER
Abby's POV
“It’s alright… it’s going to happen. We just have to keep trying.” Cal says, walking out of the bathroom before me.
I nod my head unconvinced.
“Look, I’ve got to go. Mick has a lead we need to check out with this case. I’ll pick up another pregnancy test on my way home later, just incase.”
“Cal…”
“You never know! We might just have tested too early. Anyway, I’ve got to go sweetie. I’ll maybe see you at the office later.” he says, walking over to kiss me on the head.
“See you later.” I reply, waiting for him to leave the room before I sit down on the edge of the bed.
