Ben’s POV
She rounds the corner and disappears into the darkness and I’m left standing there like a f*****g i***t.
“f**k!” I growl in frustration, slamming the car door shut in a rage. I step back onto the sidewalk and rest my hands on my hips as my eyes travel back to the spot where I last saw her.
“Well, that was f*****g stupid. Wasn’t it?” Mack asks sarcastically, knowing full well that I already know how f*****g idiotic it was.
“I get it, Mack. f*****g hell. I get it.” I answer, taking a deep breath and resting my hand on the roof of the car for a second.
