When I was refused access to Dalena and Manolo for the third time, I knew it was not as simple as Nuri said.
Instead of praying to God, they were locked up by Nuri.
"Your grace, I'm sorry, I can't let you in," said the soldier standing in front of me with a troubled look on his face. "Sir Rodriguez said no one should go near their room except himself. I'm sorry, I can't disobey his orders."
"I just want to stand at the door and say a few words to my aunt. Is that forbidden too?" I looked at the young face of the soldier. He avoided my eyes and did not dare to look at me.
