Sibyl’s POV Nuri was standing in the hallway. When he heard my voice, he turned, smiled, and opened his arms. I ran to him and jumped into his arms, feet off the ground, the weight of my body on top of him. He stood firm and put his arms around me. He murmured, “What if you fell?” I wrapped my arms around his neck and wrapped my feet around his body. “I knew you'd catch me.” My answer made him happy. He put his hand on my butt and hugged me like a baby. “Let's go back to our room.” “Okay,” I smiled and nodded. He didn't put me down, and I didn't want to. He carried me through the garden. I rested my head on his shoulder and felt the strength of his broad chest and the beating of his heart. Autumn night is very quiet, not even the sound of insects. “I hear your heartbeat,” I said.
