Sibyl fell into a coma after vomiting blood. The army doctor was dragged by Roth into our room in a hurry. He knelt down after the examination and said, “Sir, Mrs. Rodriguez is not sick. She has been poisoned.”
“What?” I was shocked. Sibyl has been living in our family castle and I have sent many soldiers to keep her safe. Everything she had used, everything she had eaten, had been examined. I don't know why she was poisoned.
The doctor said with a trembling voice, “I don't know what kind of poison it is. There's a curse in it. It's not just any poison.”
“A curse?”
