10 EMMY “What the hell was that?” Sky hissed. Dair had called last night to say his daughter wanted to stay at his sister’s place because his niece had just got a new Teen Dream doll, whatever one of those was, and his sister would take them both to school tomorrow. So did we want a hand? I wasn’t one to say no to the offer of additional labour, plus I figured he could drive Hallie back to Edinburgh in the morning, so he’d shown up with a sleeping bag and I’d changed around the shifts.
