8 EMMY Glendoon had precisely one option when it came to accommodation. According to the sign outside, parts of the Glendoon Inn dated back to the sixteenth century, and I suspected the decor did too. Downstairs was a pub, and there were half a dozen bedrooms above for visitors and patrons too drunk to make it home safely. Although Sky, Hallie, and I wouldn’t be sleeping there overnight, we booked a room so we could get a hot shower and breakfast in the morning. Sure, we could’ve barbecued a rabbit or two, but since this was meant to be a sort-of-vacation, I figured we deserved a proper fry-up if we were still alive. And no, I didn’t think the Beast of Glendoon was going to pick us off. It was a myth. But the temperature was forecast to plummet, and the risk of hypothermia was very real
