III | The Cage
They returned to the cage at the base of the cliff wall, all eyes upon them.
“Put the girl back in with the others,” said Valdus, then ordered two men to stay behind while he and the others searched of the area. “You come with us,” he said to Parvus.
They were in the process of exiting the scene, and the henchman from before had unlocked and caused the door to open, when an Ursaquake rattled the clearing ... at which point Shekalane snatched the keys from the henchman’s hands and got into the cage—triggering the door shut behind her and reaching through the bars quickly to re-lock it.
