CHAPTER THREE

"Do you have to do this to me? Do you hate me that much?"
Abigail Eunice asked bitterly when she found out that her two siblings are the mastermind of the so-called kidnapping. No matter how hard she tried to analyse the situation but she still can not find a way to understand it.
"Shut up your goddamn mouth! You don't know how I wish for you to disappear from my sight for the rest of my life!" Instead of explaining t was happening, she hit her sister as hard as she could. She grabbed her long hair without a warning and kicked her too.
Hatred was shown all over Laurice's face. Her eyes show it. But she doesn't care by the way. She did everything she can to get the attention of Bryce Luther. But still, her sister has it. Abigail was the one whom Bryce selected as his wife and give him everything.
"Did you surrender yourself to him already? Oh, how I am going to call you by the way? Sl*t? Oh, that's so rude that's why let's change it with the lighter words. You are a b! tch and an l! tch! Attention seeker as well! Damn you, wrench!" Even Laura cursed her sister to death.
They couldn't understand why their father is still holding on to the woman they hate the most. She's shameless after all. She's giving too many headaches to their family, especially to them. They are happy that she didn't follow in their footsteps but by that decision, she became more unreasonable. How frustrating and devastating to Abigail in their lives.
UPON hearing what her siblings say, she became speechless. It seems that she focuses too much on her job that she didn't notice how they want her to vanish. She knew that they are wild, disdainful, and snobbish to her. Even they are not considering her as their sister. But it's hurt to hear personally from them that they are wishing her to die.
"I don't what to say, Laurice and Laura. If you want me to die or to stop the wedding that our father is planning, kill me now and bury me without anyone's knowledge. I know that you can easily give a reason to Daddy when I'm gone. So, just let me die painlessly. I'm so tired of living this way."
She's always telling herself that as long as they will not send her out from their dwelling place, she will stay with them. Because she truly treasures the value of having a family. Even they are not treating her fairly, she didn't take it to her heart. She knows that someday all her wishes will come true. But right at the moment, all her hopes were gone.
'Father God in heaven, I know that it's useless to argue with them. Please forgive them that they are blinded by their anger and jealousy toward me. If it's your will that I'll lose my life on their own hands, I will gleefully accept it.'
She closed her eyes and say those words in her mind. She needs to accept the fact that she will soon join her mother in the kingdom of God. And yes, Laura and Laurice are her half-sisters.
But!
A few minutes have passed already but she didn't feel any harm that may lead her to death.
"WHAT'S the meaning of this, Miss Laura and Miss Laurice? Who are those men who are trying to disdain her?!"
A cold, familiar and authoritative voice was heard. She then opened her eyes but she was more surprised when she confirmed that the voice own by the person and the reason that her sisters are bullying her to death.
"Well, it seems that you are here to save your future bride, Mr Mondragon."
"Sister, say something too. Your knight in shining armour is here for you. Oh, are you not going to defend us?"
Instead of answering him, they still said those irritating and insulting words.
"Once and for all, I will say this to both of you. If you can't treat her as your family, then just leave her alone---"
"Wow! Mr Mondragon, I know the reason why you are picking her up. I'm not going to say sorry for what I will say because it's out of your business what we will do to that ambitious pilates. I'll return to you your word, stay away from this personal matter."
Laura delinquently interrupted him in talking which makes him more furious. So, instead of dealing the things smoothly, he raised his hand. His men are everywhere wherever he is like at that moment. And as he gave the signal, they instantly appeared and before that id! ots can predict what he was planning, they were all captured.
"Well, I don't have time to argue with people like you! Oh, right. We are not policemen to arrest you but I'll send you to the headquarters and they will handle you." He is disgusted after all.
AFTER SOMETIMES
"Why did you do that?"
"What do you mean?"
In disbelief that he answered her with another question. But since that, she's the one who is indebted to him, she didn't take it deep to her heart.
"I know that you know what I'm asking, Mr Mondragon. My sisters were correct when they said that it was a personal matter. But you still pursued your interruption. That's why I'm going to ask again. Why did you do it?" she asked as she draw herself closer to the car door.
Whether she will admit it or not she feels comfortable beside him. She's scared of what he might do. There are a lot of scary rumours about him. So she can't blame herself if she's scared.
"MISS Montenegro, relax. I know that you are scared of me but I can't blame you if you feel that way. I'll answer your question too. I'm on my way to the manager's office when I heard some noises on that part. Instead of going up to the office, I just silently turned my car and I accidentally overheard what's your sisters saying," he explained very well.
Well, it's up to her by the way if she will believe it or not. It's just a white lie at all. Because the truth is, there are some of his men who are watching Abigail Eunice's every move from a distance. His anger toward the sisters of his woman made him interfere with family matters.
"Honestly, I don't know what to say, Mr Mondragon. As you can see, I'm still in my office uniform. It only means that I'm on my way to going home. But by the way, thank you for your efforts. I'm just hoping that you didn't do it because I'm so much sure that they will become worse to me when we are all home."
She again let go a deep sigh. Because she really cannot ease her mind right at the moment. She's still anxious because of nervousness.
"Let's drop the formality. Just call me my name, Bryce Luther and I'll do the same to you. About your family issue, forget it for a while. Just calm yourself and let's go to my place. Don't worry because I will not harm you. I just wanted you to relax before going back to your home."
"B-but---"
"I know what you are fearing, Aby. And I will not ask you not to think that way because I want you to find out the truth about that. I just wanted to help you."
He loves her by the way. He is indeed using his investment in the Montenegro Company as an excuse to have her in his life. But it doesn't mean that he will force her to bed. He's the most disgusting person in the eyes of the beholder but he still has pride.
She's tired and sleepy that's the reason why even though she's scared of her future husband, she rested her head on the headboard of the soft chair inside the car. And that's the last thing that she remembers.
UPON seeing the woman beside her peacefully sleeping, he faces his bodyguard.
"Go and bring Mr Montenegro to my office, Paolo. Tell him that it's urgent. After that, you can go to the police headquarters and settle the things about that b! itches," he said.
"Yes, boss. But where you will take Miss Montenegro? I mean, are you going to let her sleep in your office too or at the mansion?"
He wanted to laugh what his bodyguard's statements. But even he is the boss, he doesn't want to offend his subordinate. So he answered in his normal voice.
"Just tell the maid to prepare the guest room for her. Let her rest and treat her very well. You know what's the next step."
He is talking to his bodyguard but his eyes lays on the woman once again. A beauty that can mesmerize anyone.
"Okay, boss." Paolo nodded as he instructed his companion who is driving.
In Bryce Luther's mind, he will punish those who harmed his beloved woman. No matter who they are. They don't have a right to do such a nuisance.
