Grimm shouted and his swords were instantly covered with fiery red flames and violent yellow sparks. The flames and sparks then spread throughout his body and covers him like an armor. His Health got restored by 30% and several of his stats increases by tremendous digits.

‘This is it.’ He thought as power welled up inside of him.

The special effects and the skill effect generated by the system of the game were a little too exaggerated compared to the real thing but the sensation when the skill activates is undeniable. This is his Sword Technique.

Grimm glared at Loki and his clones and shouted.

“Splendid Rampage!”

Then Grimm started moving at a blinding speed. And every time he moved, burning footsteps and statics will be left in the ground behind him. Continuous crackling and booming sounds would then be heard, enveloping the surrounding as Grimm brandishes his swords towards his targets. Loki looked at Grimm with dumb surprise all while his clones get obliterated. The intensity of Grimm’s attacks was so tremendous that the clones couldn’t even last a second against him.

When all 8 clones were eliminated and Loki was the only target left, the Trickster Knight who had already anticipated the upcoming scenario, had used the opportunity while Grimm was busy battling his clones to activate the Sacred Aura to further enhance his attacking and defensive powers before lifting his Sacred Fire imbued Greatsword as a shield to block against the destructive attacks that Grimm aimed at him.

SWASH! KABOOM! KABOOM!

The collision of their swords then burst a wide array of shockwaves that ignited several explosions around them.

Afterwards, Loki used every ounce of all the strength he could muster to push Grimm and his terrifying swords away from him. Unfortunately, no matter how much he struggle to get away, Grimm clung to him like a leech and barrages him with successive attacks.

SWASH! SWASH! KABOOM! KABOOM! SWASH! SWASH!

But despite of that, Loki’s vast knowledge and experiences in battle still enables him to proficiently defend and aim for a counter. However, that didn’t do much except to prolong his life. For even if he isn’t directly hit, his Health gets shaved rapidly due to the intense heat and electricity being emitted by Grimm’s swords.

However, he’s not the only one who’s struggling. Though in an advantage, Grimm’s situation is far from secure. It had been six minutes since he activated the Supreme Fang, but until now there’s still no sign that Loki is anywhere near to falling. They are both aware that the Supreme Fang has the time limit like any other Battle Mode skills in the game. And High Ranking skills such as these either have a high cost or a high restriction that makes them impossible to be used more than once in a day or in a battle. And Loki is aiming for that. He’s doing his best to survive until the skill is deactivated. Because of course, his chances for victory and survival would be higher if the Supreme Fang is out of the picture.

But unknown to him, it would be worst for Grimm when that happened. The Way of the Supreme Fang, Splendid Rampage is a Rank SS technique. And supposedly, Grimm with his current Level is not viable to use it yet if it weren’t just for the effect of the Creator’s Privilege which allows him to use it once at the cost of sacrificing his weapons.

Therefore, these next 4 minutes is the do or die for him. If he can’t end everything within that remaining timeframe, then it will be his complete defeat.

‘I have to defeat him before my time runs out. But how? His defensive maneuvers are very solid, and even though I can connect several damages, it won’t be enough to finish him within 4 minutes.’

Deceiving him to let his guard down through the Perfect Feint and Doppelwalk won’t also be effective. Grimm is carrying inside his Inventory Bag the Darkness Attributes Eight Essence of the Night King. So with Loki’s Darkness Sensitivity, he can easily detect his real movements. Stealth can completely erase all his presence just like what he did during the start of their battle where he successfully cut down 15% of his Health. But that skill is for backstabbing usage only, it can’t be used in an ongoing battle.

Grimm was struggling to find a solution when all of a sudden, a brilliant idea came into his head.

‘That’s it! I’ve been in similar situation before. The chances of success is low but who cares, I’m gonna die anyway if I fail.’

But first, he must wait for his Sacred Fire Greatsword to run out.

During the start of their battle, Grimm used Espionage on the Descent of the Final Illusion since it’s the only one among Loki’s skills that he’s completely unfamiliar with.

Therefore, he had already grasped its nature even before he used it. And since it’s still active, he cannot commence his plan yet or else he will surely fail.

Both of their time limits are 10 minutes but Loki had activated his skill 5 seconds earlier than him, which means that Grimm only has 5 seconds to execute everything and win.

‘5 seconds is enough.’

So with that in mind, Grimm strengthened his assaults against Loki. And for the next 3 minutes and 50 seconds, his movement displays intensified precision and flawless defense. And though Loki could still defend properly, nullifying several of his attacks, he didn’t care much about that as long as he on the other hand won’t receive any colossal damage.

Yes, the first phase of his plan is to attack while refraining Loki from damaging him. He has 45% Health left during the dawn of the 4 minutes countdown and Grimm is ensuring that Loki can’t cut even single point out of it.

And then, the next phase…

When there were only 10 seconds left, Grimm rushed at top speed towards Loki and swung his swords, an attack in which the Trickster Knight opposed by heavily swinging his Greatsword and their blades clashed.

The impact of three Flame imbued swords ignited a powerful explosion between them that blasted them both. Loki, with his rather longer Greatsword was able struck his sword to the ground and recover his balance first. While on the other hand, Grimm’s balance recovery was slightly delayed due to the shorter length of his two swords.

Grasping this opportunity, Loki used the opening to attack Grimm while he’s still defenseless.

“Great Divide!” He exclaimed and swung his Greatsword like a baseball bat towards Grimm’s stomach and slashed pass him the moment that he landed on the ground.

“Ugh…!”

“I guess victory still smiled upon me,” Loki murmured with a light smile.

“Guess again,” Grimm surprisingly said behind him.

“…W-what, how on earth…!?”

Loki was confused to find out that Grimm was still alive even after that attack. He turned around to confirm what’s going on. However, the moment that he does so, he was immediately bombarded with several slashes by Grimm’s swords.

He was completely defenseless, so the damages that he received were beyond colossal. So just after the second strike, his Health reaches 0.

During the 4 minutes…

The reason why Grimm had placed a lot of effort to not let Loki inflict a single damage from him was due to that he was shaving his Health himself.

And his goal was pretty obvious. Grimm is planning to use the same strategy that he used when he defeated the Black Cait Sith in order to create an opening against Loki. However, the damage nullifying effect of the Unbreakable Body is only applicable against Physical Damage. So therefore, he has to wait until the elemental property of Loki’s Greatsword to run out before he can execute the final phase of his plan.

“I won, but what’s next?” He panted as he stared at Loki’s burning ashes. When he figured out his true identity and all his ploys, Grimm had also connected the dots and found the true aim of all his actions. That’s why he went through all the troubles to confront and best him because he knows that things won’t simply end after his defeat. “Hey punk, you better have something interesting in store here or else it won’t be worth all the trouble.”

-Well of course.

Loki’s voice said.

Ku ku ku ku ku ku ku ku ku!

And then, the fires that are rippling against Loki’s ashes soared and formed a floating fireball before approaching Grimm.
