Grimm felt like he was being sucked into a whirlpool and after a few seconds, he appeared in an extravagant room with a huge round table in the middle. The table was designed with several meticulously carved inscriptions and is surrounded by Eight Seats, one Golden Seat, obviously intended for the Highest in Command, and seven Silver Seats that are for those next in power.
And from one of the Silver Seats rises Loki, “Greetings! My disciple.”
Grimm’s eyes widened when Loki greeted him. Far from the poorly attired Hermit that gave him a lot of headaches back at the Final Glade, the Loki that appears before him now is clad with shiny armors and gears along with several dashing accessories.
There are tens of thousands of identified items in Eternal Empire that are listed at the Jenova Corp’s Official Website as well as to several Virtual Items Auction sites and Grimm had memorized all of them to the final details.
Therefore, with just one glance, Grimm had immediately identified that these items clinging at Loki right now are among the most deluxe in both quality and rarity, items that only the most fortunate could afford.
So with a raised eyebrow, he said, “You know what you’re sort of stupid not wearing those when you fought me. You would have won.”
“Well, it was all of a sudden. I didn’t have the time for an outfit change.”
“I’m sure glad that that were the case.” Grimm said. And Loki chuckled.
“Anyway, have a sit,” he offered.
But when he was about to take one of the Silver Seats, Loki stopped him. “No, no, you’re not taking that one.” And gestured towards the Golden Seat. “You’re taking that one.”
“T-that one?” Grimm stuttered with a shock face.
Loki nodded and confirmed. “Yes, that one.”
Grimm examined Loki’s expression, searching for any hint that would suggest that he’s joking. But when he found none, confirming that he’s 100% serious, Grimm reluctantly head to the Golden Seat and occupied it.
And once he was seated, Loki followed through and return to the Silver Seat that he vacated earlier when he welcomed him.
“Allow me to properly introduce myself,” Loki started. “My name is Loki Jotunheim, the 4th Seat among the Seven Grand Knights of God King Halcyon.”
‘God King?’ Grimm remembered encountering that designation before. According to the Legends of Avelot, the God King was the Supreme Ruler that once governed the entire Continent of Avelot more than two thousand years ago. However, there weren’t much record that could prove that he ever existed. Therefore, his existence as well as his glorious title were both dismissed as myths.
“And more than two thousand years ago, during the day of his Ascension to the High Heavens, I, along with my fellow Grand Knights were tasked by the God King with a very important mission.”
And as Loki continued, a two thousand years old flashback started to play before Grimm’s eyes.

Halcyon was born in the Eastern Continent.
A half-human son of a God and a pure-hearted Maiden.
As a child, he already displayed the power to sway the hearts of the people through his words and wisdom.
He was interested with swords and treasures and had dreamed of exploring the Continents and its Hidden Wonders.
His Uncle, a travelling merchant, took him under his wing after the death of his Mother. And together, they travelled several kingdoms and countries, and for a while, Halcyon’s dream of travelling the world was fulfilled.
However, a Great War between the Continents broke off and took the life of his Uncle.
Devastated by the death of the last person he cherished, Halcyon swore that he will create a perfect world where no one will suffer the way he did.
He became a soldier, learned the way of the sword and slaughtered anyone who threatens the peace of the kingdom he serves.
His achievements were recognized by the King. He became a Knight and eventually a Lord, and joined the world of the Aristocrats.
And then one night, on the 30th year of his life, while praying at the Temple, his Father descended from the Heavens and bestowed upon him the Precious, the weapons of the Gods that will aid him in fulfilling his dream of creating the Perfect World.
With an overwhelming power, Halcyon conquered and united the Continents in a matter of days and seized the Throne as the God King of the Continent of Avelot.
And for decades, the entire Continents lived in peace and harmony under his Supreme Rule.
However, during the final days of his stay in the earthly realm, a realization deeply saddened the God King Halcyon.
In his great desire to create the Perfect World, he had forgotten to fulfill his Dream. Remembering himself as a child, he never wished for prestige, fame, and power. All he ever wants was to explore the world, know Her and unmask Her secrets.
Unfortunately, he realizes it for far too late. His Father was already calling upon him to join Him in the High Heavens.
But Halcyon being Halcyon refused to give up. “If I can’t fulfill my dream then I will find someone who can.”
So during the day of his Ascension to the High Heavens, the God King gathered his Seven Grand Knights and tasked them with the mission to search the world for a worthy Successor who will carry on his unfulfilled will.
“My Grand Knights, forgive me for burdening you with such selfishness. I, as your King beseech for your understanding and your forgiveness.”
And on that day, just before the Great Halcyon was taken by the Gates of Heaven, the last image that he left in the memories of his Grand Knights was a King lowering his head to them, conveying just how much this final wish of his means everything to him.

‘It’s finally completed.’ Grimm smiled.
Yup, this is the root of everything that transpired inside the Forest Illusion, starting from their training under Bart, down to their battle against Amradias, and finally, his duel against Loki. All of it, we’re due to this quest.
And truth be told, Grimm was actually completely clueless about everything during the dawn of the Amradias incident. And he only figured out that something fishy is going on when the Grand Knight Apprenticeship quest didn’t result into failure when Bart died.
Supposedly, when the Quest Giver is killed, the quest will either result into a failure or gets updated. However, neither one of those two scenarios happened during Bart’s death. Instead, they were given with a new quest with a higher degree of difficulty. His fellow disciples easily got overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events and completely overlooked the still existing quest and its peculiarity.
That’s when Grimm’s suspicions escalated which leads him into investigating the matters.
And with the help of his real life alter ego’s photographic memory, Grimm recalled everything that happened during the past month that they’d stayed inside the forest, focusing on Bart, Stellio, Amradias, and everything that are related to them. And after doing so, everything clicked together and he was able to unscramble all the questions and mysteries including the true aim of the progenitor of the events.
So after figuring all those out, he then engineered the course of actions of Basche and the other disciples in order deceive Loki and rid them out of the picture before facing the Trickster Knight into a final battle.
So now, after achieving victory, he sits here, reaping the rewards.
“The Judgment Of the King’s Eternal Supremacy had found you worthy.”
Loki said before a blinding light emitting from the inscriptions carved on the round table took his sight away.
Opening his eyes, he found himself surrounded by complete darkness along with a young boy who is staring dreamily at him. Grimm immediately recognized the young boy as the God King Halcyon when he was still a child.
The young boy then smiled at him and asked. “What is your purest desire?”
And Grimm answered truthfully. “Freedom.”
The young boy’s satisfied smile widened and approached him to reach his hand. And when their hands touched, the young boy dispersed into specks of lights and fused into him.
