Luci The drive out to Portland was uneventful, and they had lunch in a restaurant near their hotel, before checking in just like her mother said they would. Her mother had booked them into a two-bedroom suite; it was a lovely hotel and Luci, though knew they would be here for a couple of days, did not unpack her suitcase into the drawers or wardrobe space.
