It was already likely that both of Luci’s parents could sense the girl; now that she had a wolf, it was likely that they also both knew she was out in the woods. He was willing to bet that they’d gone in and checked on her after the moon set and found her room empty.
Why Orien was up, and prowling around unhappy, he also now knew that they were both not here in the packhouse either. He could well imagine that the man was already thinking they were with his daughter. Orien had seen the way he’d been looking at Luci. Knew he was interested and now all three of them were not in the packhouse.
It was also now likely they knew she was back in the packhouse. Rafe continued to carry her through the packhouse, it was already too late to try and hide that they’d been with her.
