Jack Jack stood watching Luci flee the packhouse and sighed internally to himself. He could hear Luna Addison yelling at her Mate upstairs. Clearly, Luci and her father were arguing once more, but about what? That was the real question. She’d not left that room of hers all night, as far as he could tell. He’d been a little on the disappointed side that she’d not snuck out, he’d stayed up late himself just in case she decided to. He had been hoping for it, but she hadn’t.
