Chapter FourteenA metal door, large and green with a massive, rust-encrusted yet solid looking handle, barred their way. “We'll never get it open,” said Ben, wiping the sweat from his brow, shoulders sagging, the enormity of the task ahead crushing him. “Yes we will.” Paul stepped forward, seized the handle and, grunting with the effort, the veins in his neck bulging, he strained to move it. Two others joined him, but it proved useless, almost as if it were welded shut. Gasping, Paul stepped away, “We'll soak it in oil, then come back tomorrow,” he said through clenched teeth. “My dad's got a can of rust remover,” said Trevor. “Can you get it?” asked Paul.
