Six Months Later (October) With the sleeve of his shirt, Boyd polished the steering wheel in front of him. Through the windshield, Boyd watched people come and go, go and come. They stood and drew on cigarettes, they flicked butts, and dragged cases and children. Beyond them all, the October sky was darkening with dusk. Clouds hung low and gave off the impression of impending snow, even though bad weather was still weeks, if not months, away.
