CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

BASTIAN

We are so close that our bodies are practically touching, I can feel the electricity that still runs between us and I know that she feels it too, because she seems as surprised as I do by the reaction of our bodies to each other's closeness, Dr. Phillip probably was right about our bond not being completely broken, and although I had suspected this for a long time, what I am feeling now shows me that it is true, and our bond still remains there, damaged, but still exists.

"Bastian ..." she murmurs in a shaky voice, and my erection increases when I hear her speak my name.

"You feel it too, don't you?" I say, my voice hoarse with desire as my hands go around her waist.

"You want me as much as I want you," I add as I smell her arousal, and she frowns slightly as she shakes her head.

"No, of course not," she responds, avoiding looking into my eyes, but her body hints at her lie, so I lower my hand in between her tights, and she gasps.

"Then why are you so wet?" I ask her while my fingers caress her down there.

The moan that escapes her mouth is enough to break any vestige of self-control that may have remained in me, and using my free hand to circle the back of her head, tangling my fingers in her hair, I press my lips against her, and I kiss her as if it were the first time, with so much love and desire that even if at first she just went completely rigid, now she has started to respond to my kiss, and opens her mouth to allow my tongue to dance with hers, while my fingers continue to trace circles at that magical point that makes her moan non-stop as she kisses me.

And when I slide one of my fingers inside her, she gets slightly startled, but I don't give her time to react before leaning in and taking one of her n*****s between my lips, but before continuing my attack on her other n****e, I feel her putting one of her hands on top of my head and begin to gently push me down, so without delay, I obey the silent command and slowly lower my head, tracing a line of kisses down her abdomen until I reach the place where my hand has been circling her most sensitive spot, and I replace the palm of my hand with my tongue as I continue to move my finger in and out of her, making her moan out loud as her fingers tangle in my hair.

If someone were to ask me how I feel right now, my answer without a doubt would be that I am in the f*cking paradise, I thought that I would never kiss or touch her like this again, I thought that I would never be able to feel her sweet taste again, nor that I would hear her moan my name again, and the only thing I can think of right now, is that I don't want this moment to ever end; I would like to take her and the babies and go together to a distant place where there are no wars, no thrones, no hatreds, no annoying husbands that come between us, that it is just us, loving and f*****g each other for the rest of our days.

I would give up everything right now if she asked me to, and I wouldn't regret it for a single moment.

When I feel that she is close to climaxing, I insert another finger and increase the speed of my tongue movement, I feel her fingers forcefully pull my hair as she throws her head back and moans so loudly, that anyone nearby in the forest could hear her, until finally, she reaches org*sm with a scream that sounds almost like my name, and her body shakes with spasms.

However, just when I have fully risen, I have taken her by the hips and I have positioned myself in the middle of her legs, with my erection brushing her entrance, I make the big mistake of kissing my mark on her neck, and her reaction is immediate, her body tightens completely and Elina seems to snap out of the trance she was in, her caramel eyes turning to cold gold in an instant as she scowls at me, and before I can say anything to her, she pushes me away and takes a few steps away from me, and then she completely transforms into her wolf form before she storms off through the forest, disappearing from my sight just seconds later.

Shit.

I should have known that everything was too good to last.

At least I got her to listen to my explanation about what happened to her father a year ago, and while I know that doesn't excuse my mistake in not having gone to her directly to tell her about my decision to give him a choice, I hope that what I told her it is enough for her to at least think a little about our future together, and I do not even care how long it could take for her to do so, I will continue to insist that she believe me and change her mind about all this absurd conflict between us.

And with that explanation out of the way, now I really need to focus on finding hard evidence to show that I had nothing to do with the attack on her family, I must show Elina that she has no reason to distrust me, and that she does not need that asshole whom she calls husband either, we can find a solution to all of this mess, I know we can, our bond is so strong that there is nothing that can break it, not even ourselves, and that was more than clear today.

I just hope that what just happened between us does not make her move further away from me, but quite the opposite.
