I felt the car turn onto a rock driveway, signaling that we were at my house.  I sat up, returned the seat to its original position, and opened the car door. “Thanks for the ride.  Talk to you later,” I said quietly, getting out of the car.  Libby just looked at me, her face heavy with concern.  I closed the car door behind me and slowly walked towards my front door, wondering if I’d manage to make it inside and to the bathroom without waking my family. I didn’t want them to see me like this. The front door creaked loudly as I opened and closed it, threatening to give me away, but miraculously I made it to the bathroom unnoticed. There, I stripped off all my clothes and stepped into the warm shower.  I felt so dirty and guilty.  How could I have been so stupid?  I scrubbed my body as hard
