I grinned. “Wow, how nice of Ben to invite you,” I said, looking over at Ben and giving him the most sarcastic grin possible.  He looked back at me, smiled, winked, and then nodded toward Tim like he was encouraging his little girl to spread her wings.  “Hey, you want to go rent your shoes?” Libby said, grabbing my arm.  “Sure,” I said with a smile, but as we turned away from Tim and walked to the shoe counter, I whispered angrily to her. “Libby, did you know that Tim was going to be here?” She nodded.  “How could you do this to me?  I’m your friend.  I hate being set up.”  Libby told the man her shoe size, and he left to find it, “I knew if I said anything to you that you wouldn’t show up tonight, and I needed you to come.”  She paused as the man returned with her shoes and I told h
