I stared at Ty in shock. Ty was wearing his shirt with a jacket and pant. The buttons were not put properly and his hair was all messy. He looked worried. He rushed to me and pulled me in a hug.
I didn't know what to say. I felt his warm body close to mine which made me feel so relaxed.
Just a while ago, I was shooting bullets, riding a motorcycle and was stressing over the case, but, now that Ty was hugging me, I felt so relaxed.
I couldn't help but put my arms around him. His arms were secure around me as if he wanted to have me all by himself.
I noticed Inspector Ròse looking at me and Ty in shock. I knew why she was shocked. She knew that Ty was a teacher and that I was an Agent and was in disguise of a student in the school. But, she didn't know that I was Ty's wife as well and that he had no clue of the mission.
She wanted to ask something, but I shook my head. It wasn't the time to talk to her about this. I could explain this to her later but what was important now was to talk to Ty, especially now that he was so close to me as if his life would mean nothing without me.
She shook her head and mad ever way towards her car and drove away.
It was just me and Ty.
"Ty?" I said as I felt his arms around me tightened.
"Oh, Thank God," he sighed. "I am so glad that you are okay," he softly said.
I smiled. I pulled away from him, leaning my arms still on his neck. "Ty," I said as I looked at him.
Ty wasn't looking at me.
I slowly run my fingers on his cheeks and cupped his cheeks to make him look at me. "Hey, I am okay," I said looking at his blue eyes.
Ty didn't smile, rather his eyes held worry. His one hand held onto my hand on his cheek. "I was so worried. I got off the bed to drink water and when I opened your door to check on you, you were not there," he said.
I felt my heart sank. He was worried about that long?
"I . . . I tried to phone call you, but you didn't receive the phone call and then I saw the news on the T.V," his whispered. His voice was broken and filled with hurt.
I felt his arms around me, pulling me closer to his chest. He dropped his head on my neck. I felt my heart racing, feeling his breath close to my neck.
"I was so worried," he whispered. "So worried that . . ."
Ty didn't finish his sentence, rather his hold on my waist got tighter as he shut his eyes, letting a tear slide down his eyes.
"It was your car that got crashed," he said as he pulled away from me and cupped my cheeks.
I looked at Ty. His eyes were filled with so much pain and love. I just wanted to stare at his eyes.
"I don't know what would happen if something would ever happen to you," he said as he leaned closer. His forehead touching mine. "You mean so much to me, Jess. I can't lose you. Not again," he said as he hugged me. "Not after finding you after 20 years."
Tears ran away from my eyes. I didn't know how to react to these warm feelings. I never had somebody this close to me who would worry this much for me . . .
And even after all this, I was deceiving him. By telling him nothing about my identity or about my life or about my career.
I should have told him about this. About my identity . . .
Then he wouldn't have been this worried.
Ty pulled away from the hug and whipped my tears. His eyes fell on my bruised arms.
"Jess," he looked at me. "What is this?" he touched my arm. "How did you got hurt? Who hurt you?"
"Ty . . ."
"Tell me the guy who hurt you, Jess. I will punch the crap out of him!" he yelled as he held on my arms.
I didn't think I saw Ty this angry before.
"Jess!" he said as he held on my arms.
I looked at him.
"Tell me who was that man who wanted to hurt you and I will make that man suffer-"
"Ty," I interrupted. I wanted him to stop getting angry about the whole thing.
His arms began to hold on my waist, closer and firmer. His fingers ran down on my waist pocket where my gun was and as his hand fell over the gun, he gasped and pulled out the gun from my pocket.
Oh crap!
This wasn't good.
Ty was confused as he held the gun in his hand and looked at me. "Jess, what is this?"
I didn't say anything. I didn't have an answer. I looked at Ty and noticed him pissed.
"JESS, WHAT IS THIS?! Why the heck you have a gun with you?!" he yelled.
I tried to take the gun away from him. "TY, GIVE ME THE GUN!"
"WHY DO YOU HAVE IT?! Tell me," he asked.
I couldn't!
I wish though! I wish I could tell him about me . . .
But I just couldn't.
How could I tell him about my identity when I got attacked twice today? What would happen if my enemies hurt Ty?
"Ty, give me the gun!" I said firmly.
"No," he said stubbornly. "What are you hiding from me, Jess."
I was angry. "Just give me the gun, Ty! It is none of your business!" I yelled, without realizing.
That froze the space between us. I could see Ty's getting upset.
"None of my business huh?" he asked as he pulled away from me.
So felt a coldness towards my chest. "No Ty . . ."
"We are living together for 2 months now and I have never asked you about anything because I trusted you blindly but today, when I found a gun in your pocket then I am not even supposed to ask any question to my own wife?" Ty asked. His eyes were filled with sadness.
I felt bad. I did the outburst by mistake and now his attitude felt so cold.
Ty moved away and sighed. "I guess, I have no right on you, Jess. After all, we got married not because of love, right? I paid you to get married to me, so . . . that's fine," he said as he turned around, away from me.
My heart was sinking. What was he saying all of a sudden?
The coldness from him was making my heart ached. This was not what I wanted.
My heart felt like it was crashing into pieces as he began to walk away from me.
No!
I couldn't let Ty walk away from me like this! Yes, I got married to him because of the money, but that time, the situation was different. I didn't know that he was my childhood best friend. I didn't know the warm side of him. Heck, I didn't know that I was going to be falling for him.
The air felt chilly and slowly it began to rain. I watched Ty walking away as the rain gets heavier.
"Ty!" I called out but he didn't respond or stopped.
Ty kept walking.
No! I won't let him walk away from me. Even if it meant by telling him all about me.
I didn't want to lose him.
Screw the stupid Agent laws. I knew I wasn't supposed to tell Ty about the missions because his life can be in danger but I was willing to take the risk. I was willing to make the whole world my enemy if that's what meant to be by being with Ty.
I wasn't losing him over something stupid.
Ty was that important to me.
I began to run towards him. I didn't care if my clothes were soaked or that my arms felt like it was about to break. Right now the only thing mattered was to get Ty back.
I ran towards him and from his back, I launched myself to him making him fall on the road.
"Hey!" he yelled as he noticed that his clothes were all dirty not the road.
I laid seated on the road as I looked at Ty. "Ty, please?" I said to him as he looked away.
I put my fingers underneath my hijab and held my ears. "I am sorry," I said.
Ty looked at me.
"I am really sorry, Ty. I know what I did wasn't something fair but . . ." I looked at him as a tear slide down my eyes. "Give me a chance Ty. Please. Let me talk to you. Let me tell you all about me."
Ty's eyes widened. "I only want to hear the truth, Jess."
I nodded. I whipped the tear away from my eyes and looked at him. "I am going to tell you the truth, Ty."
Ty nodded. He wasn't showing me the warmth side of him yet. He held the gun to show me. "What's the story behind this thing?" he asked.
"Actually," I hesitated and took a deep breath. "Ty, I . . ." I looked at Ty's eyes and with courage, I said, "I am not an ordinary woman. I am . . . one of the most successful agents from the top lists of the globe."
"Agents?" Ty looked at me, confusingly.
I nodded. "I am Agent Jade, an undercover officer of the Criminal Investigation Team."
