“You!”
Both Harper and I startle as Lorcan bounds into the kitchen. His eyes are like fire. He’s so angry, and I’m not ashamed to say that I’m terrified right now.
“Get out!” Lorcan screams at Harper, who rushes out of the room without a word. Lorcan slams the door and rounds on me.
I swallow hard while backing away from him, though he takes one forward with every step I take back.
This isn’t going to go well for me; I can see that.
“Lorcan,”
“Shut up!” He yells so loudly that I cringe. “How dare you snoop on me?”
“I wasn’t,” I yelp as my back hits the wall behind me. I didn’t realize I was so close to the damn wall!
