I can’t stay here like this; it’s agony! I’ve been in heat before; I’m an adult. But it’s never been this painful. But then, I never had a mate before. I’m actually surprised it took this long to hit me.
If I’d felt this creeping up on me, perhaps I could have snuck off territory and gone home. I have heat suppressants in my extra medical kit. That would have kept my heat hidden from other Wolves, and I would have been able to get through it without pain or having Lorcan touch me.
But I know deep down that there was no way I could have gotten off territory without Lorcan catching me.
