Gianna “Gianna,” Lorcan crouches down beside me. I quickly wipe my eyes and smile. I hadn’t heard him come in, but I was lost in my thoughts. “Tell me what I did to upset you like this.” He takes my hand in his own, and I let him. I can’t keep pushing him away; he’s my mate, and he’s trying. I just wish Lorcan wasn’t so unfeeling about certain things, such as me needing my family. I’m not sure how Lorcan can go so long without speaking with his family, let alone not seeing them. However, it doesn’t seem to bother my mate one way or the other.
