I didn’t find her immediately when Bella called for me this morning. I told her through the mind link that I couldn’t leave Rain and Mark right then. I needed to spend a little more time with them before they left a couple of hours later. Of course, I asked Bella if she was in danger. She mumbled no in a way that told me she was annoyed more than anything.
I saw my mate and son off with Ricon. I shouldn’t have a bad feeling about it, but I did. Something doesn’t feel right, and I’m going to be on pins and needles all week. It wouldn’t be like this if we had a mate link.
