“My dad wants me to go to Blue Fire with him.”
My hand stills on the blanket I was folding at the bottom of the bed. “And what did you say?”
I drop the blanket as Rain bites the inside of her lower lip. “I said I’d ask you.”
I shake my head. “Rain, you don’t need to ask my permission to do something.” I take her face in my hands. “If you want to go to Blue Fire, then you go. Please don’t feel like I’ll be angry with you, Rain.”
