I hide behind Christian as the sensation of dread fills me.
“Where is she? I know she’s here. I can smell her sweet scent.” I can hear the vampire take a step forward.
“I will kill you if you take one more step.” Christian growls lowly.
Ryan shouts from the kitchen completely unaware of the danger. “I think I am going to order some pizza!”
The vampire sneers at Christian. “We both know you won't do a thing, Alpha. Not here. Not while your human friends are here. That’s part of your rules, right? Humans can’t find out what you are?”
