Gabi’s POV
I go to leave the office and Heath slams his hand down onto the desk. He looks furious and I know he is about to blow up. I have never seen him this mad. From the looks of it, Alan had never seen him this mad either.
“Gabi is like a daughter to me and Von. We never had children and her parents were killed the same day that she was brought to us. Her parents were killed by rogues when her pack was attacked. I wanted her to try out for the team because she had been physically and emotionally abused by her former pack. She needed to gain confidence and be able to protect herself if the abuse were to ever happen again. She had gotten better, and she did an excellent job. She earned her spot on the team.
