It was never a sin to fall in love.
“You disappointed me, Samantha. Archangels, the highest angels and considered as the right hand of the God, were supposed to be the example that both mortals and the supernatural should follow. None of us thought that among all the divine creatures, you, one of the four right hands, will be the one who’ll stoop low to the point that breaking the rules will become your choice.”
But in the world where heaven, earth, and hell exist, the only sin that applied to all realms is the sin of falling in love with someone who doesn’t belong to your own kind.
“Earl, this woman is nowhere near a perfect match for you. She’s not the being who’s destined to be your bride for eternity. Why will you go to such extent that you will wage war against all the realms? I have no son that’s a failure, Earl. You are my son and the vampires’ future king. Rethink your decision and follow my command, or else, you will die. Let your father give you the right order for once.”
And of course, love isn’t bittersweet without having someone watch them fight for their love story from afar. Sinning for the sake of feelings, is the same as walking on the painful road of fire with shards of broken glasses barefooted.
“No demon should feel connections such as love. Jealousy born out of it might drive your anger into its fullest potential, but trying to fight a war you can’t win is a form of blind bravery. Lucifer, son, stop loving an archangel who won’t reciprocate those feelings you shouldn’t have had in the first place. Hell is not a paradise so snap out of your delusions.”
If fate forbids any of them to be together, then their own wills and feelings will create a way for them to meet up for the second time around. Will this chance be their key to happy ending?
But the real problem lies far behind their intertwined destinies.
Time may change the world, but just like before, the same rule applies to everyone in the modern era. That includes the similarities of the consequences brought by indulging themselves in the feelings no one should’ve entertained: difficulties of loving the same woman, who’s from a different realm from theirs.
“I currently live in this world as Vincent Dela Vin, but I’ve known Samantha for years, centuries rather, as Earl Morningstar. Samantha died, but I believe she’ll live again so I waited for centuries just to see her again. And time paid me by giving you, Elliana. Will you stay with me? I’ve waited for so long so please, stay, not as Samantha, but as yourself. I’m asking for you to give me life once again. Choose me, Elliana.”
“Sam- no, Elliana Winters. Why will you choose him again? Why should I, Lucifer, be the one who’ll end up defeated again? Was it fun to see me suffer? Samantha chose him and died for him, you want to choose him and stay with him. When will I have my time to be chosen by the woman I love? When will you choose me? He’s not the only one who’s willing to wage war and fight the world for you.”
If falling in love is as complicated as picking between the vampire prince and the prince of hell, then how will she deal with her feelings blossoming in her heart?
“Are you sure you’re in love with me? Are you sure you’re willing to stay and fight for me? Are you sure that those feelings you have for me, were actually because you fell in love with me, or is it just because you see her within me? I don’t want to end up broken.”
A story where the three supreme beings from three different realms were all tied by a single sin: forbidden love.
