Chapter 19

Adrian's POV

These past few days I have been focusing on formulating a plan to make my kitten fall for me. I never had to go after a girl before and here I am trying to make a girl who hates me, to love me. Karma is really a b***h. Believe me people, getting a million dollar business deal is much easier than this. I am planning to approach her tomorrow to apologize for my behavior to her friend Ryan. Till then I've decided to avoid any interactions with her. But to my surprise Chase told me that Elena had been asking about me and she seems to be worried about me. Is she really concerned about me ??? Does she like me ??? However I am happy now that at least she cares for me. I have hope that she'll eventually fall in love with me.

Like in the past few days, today I reached my office at 7 in the morning. I was going through some files when Chase barged into my office (This guy will never learn to knock)

"Good morning, bro. Did you go through the files I had sent to your office??? Its about a new deal and I want you to go through it" I said without looking up.

Ad, there is something more important than the deal. I've dropped off Elena infront of the cafe near her hospital exactly an hour before. She is meeting with a Dr.Josh, one of her close friends, he said making himself comfortable on the sofa on my right.

"Okay, but what should I do about it ???" I asked getting confused.

Bro, this guy has a crush on El and all her friends including Aves, have been forcing her to date this guy. El said that she only likes him as a friend. But I don't think, that guy is gonna settle down as just a friend. So, you better do something about it or he may snatch my future sis-in-law, he said warning me (What the hell !!!! Why is every man behind my girl and why is she oblivious to all of this.....I need to see my kitten like right now. Also Chase was just mocking me calling her sis-in-law. I didn't tell him about mom's proposal as I don't want him to get even the sligtest idea that he stands a chance with my girl. My kitten is a good catch and he is a man, that too a horny one. So, I have to play safe) I immediately took my phone and keys.

"Bro, I'm gonna meet her. Please manage my appointments for the time being" saying this I walked to the door. As I was opening the door Chase said, By the way Ad, Elena's French is so sexy. She called me "mon amour" and man it just freaking turned me on. I sure am gonna dream about that for a long time (What did I just say.....I can't trust this guy)

"You b*****d. You are lucky that I'm more concerned about that doctor right now. Wait till I get back and I'll f*****g teach you never to flirt with someone else's woman" I snarled and pulled the door so hard that the handle broke. I threw the handle away and rushed out of my office. (I'm raging inside right now. If I see something inappropriate there, I'll definitely snap that doctor's neck off)

The traffic was horrible and I'm sure that I've earned a few tickets on the way here. I parked my car infront of the cafe and went inside. I couldn't find Elena anywhere. Has she left already ??? Thinking about this I walked out the door only to find my kitten in the arms of a man and I saw red. I couldn't control my rage that I pulled my kitten out of his arms by her waist. Both of them looked at me in surprise (I'm sure that they never expected me to come to their little lovers reunion.....)

But I never expected my meek little kitten to shout at me for touching her and for asking her about that guy. Is he that important to her ??? To top it all, he tried to calm her down and guess what he succeeded. Who the hell is he to calm her down !!!! I shouted at him that she is mine but my kitten had other plans. She outrightly denied me (When did she become so daring!!!!) I got so furious that if he did anything at all I would've punched him then and there. I didn't care about media or paparazzi at that moment. All I wanted was my girl for myself. But I got really confused when he introduced himself and said that Elena had talked about me. Is he trying to save her or did she talk about me for real ??? Before I could ask anything he left waving Elena a goodbye. I guess he is not that bad, at least he didn't try to provoke me like that other b*****d.

Analyzing the situation I think I've overreacted a bit. It was my f*****g cousin who infuriated me in the first place and then jealousy got the best out of me (I'm so gonna kill him today....)

But the damage has been already done. I tried to pacify her by apologizing. She is the first person outside my family to whom I've ever apologized but she didn't even care about my apology. She blamed me for hurting her friend and even said that 'he is a better man than I can ever be' and asked me to apologize to him and walked away. She is damn lucky that I love her or else she wouldn't be alive after saying that to my face. Wait...what did I just say ??? Did I say the L-word. That's a first. I never thought that I could say that word so easily. I guess everything's coming so natural with her. I think I probably love her as she's the first girl for whom I've gotten jealous for. Everything's a first for me in her case. I don't know how I'll make things right....I just don't want to apologize to that Josh guy by any means. God, are you really punishing me now for all my sins !!!!! You are now making me do things which I've never even dreamt of doing in my life.....

I got back to my office and smashed everything that came into my sight till I got myself to calm down. No one dared to interrrupt me as my staff knew otherwise. I ordered my staff to clean everything up and went to meet my cousin. I went straight for his gut and punched him thrice (I always prefer face, but I don't want my mom to question me about his black eye later. Also don't worry he'll live, as we both are professional boxers and a few punches can't take any of us down)

I told him about everything that happened there. He adviced me to apologize to Elena and if needed, even to that doctor as soon as possible. I am ready to apologize a thousand times to my kitten. But I won't do it to that doctor. However I asked Chase to get the details of that guy. By the looks of it, he doesn't seem to be a simple doctor. Consider it my curiosity. Also who knows???It may prove useful later...

I couldn't find myself to forget about the way that my kitten shouted at me in front of that doctor. The entire day I tried to engage myself in work and I even took it out on every person who came into my office. I could feel that the entire office was on pins and needles the whole day. But I don't care, after all I pay them to tolerate me. It was past midnight when I got back home. I walked inside to see that my mom was waiting for me in the living room.

"Hey mom, why didn't you sleep yet ???" I asked giving her a short hug. Adrian, why are you so late??? You look so tired. Did you even have dinner??? she asked with concern. "Don't worry mom. My assistant had ordered me food before she left. I had a few files to go through. That's why I got late" I said smiling.

Well, I was waiting to talk to you. You better sit down, she said getting herself settled on the sofa and I sat down opposite to her.

Ad, today Stacey came here to meet me. She tried her best to convince me to make her my daughter-in-law. She doesn't even deserve to dream about it!!!!! But I wouldn't blame her.... It was you who gave her that idea in the first place. Well, I gave her the answer she deserved. But I have a feeling that she won't give up that easy. So you better watch out. She might come up with a pregnancy or some other scandal if she gets to know about Elena and I don't want my girl to get hurt. So, I want you to work on shutting down any possible scandals like that even before it gets out, mom said warning me.

"I'm sorry mom. I accept that I am at fault here. But I have already made it clear to her that I will never marry her. Also I have warned her against playing any tricks on me. However I'll make sure to keep an eye on her" I said reassuring her.

Okay, just stay cautious. Well I forgot to tell you the best part. Clara told me that before I came down to meet Stacey, she met Elena and she called my girl ugly. But the way Elena had shut her down was worth watching even I heard the last part myself. She spoke so politely yet with the right amount of sass. I'm already her fan. Also it made me realize that I want her as my daughter-in-law at any cost. I don't care if its you or Chase who marries her. So I suggest you to better convince her before the deadline, she said smirking (Why is my own mom obsessed with torturing me!!!!) "Mom I'm trying okay. You know very well that Elena is not like those normal girls who easily fall for my charm. So, I need time, okay. Also please don't tell Chase about any of this. At least not before the end of my time of one year. I won't tolerate him hitting on my girl" I requested. Okay. I promise that I won't tell him now. But the very next day of the deadline I'll tell him this myself. So, you better do something before that. Well, I forgot to tell you this. Tomorrow Elena and Iva are going with Joanna to their house for a week, mom said shocking me.

"But mom is it safe for them??? Will Kayden be there???" I asked with concern. Don't worry son, that boy hasn't been home since months. Also Albert and Joanna will be there with them. Our girls will be perfectly safe there, mom said reassuring me. "Yeah, you are right mom. But I don't want Kayden even at a 2 mile radius of Elena. That guy is much worse than Chase in the matter of women. And my kitten's innocence is attracting all the f*****g men to her" I said gritting my teeth. I'm so happy to see you get all possessive and protective over her. Thank God for sending her to us, saying this she patted on my head and went inside.

You are right mom, indeed she is a blessing from heaven and I promise to never lose her. I have to make things right at any cost. I don't want you to stay mad at me kitten. I want you to love me and only me.......
