Chapter 21

Elena's POV

Its been three days since the dinner and so far things are going as I've planned. Yesterday Jo took us to her parents' house which is a really beautiful house in the Huntington Beach city and we've decided to stay there for two days. "We" includes me, my baby, Jo and Kayden. Albert couldn't make it due to some financial issues in their company.

You all are probably wondering how did Kayden end up with us. Well, what can I say, I can be real persistent at times. When Jo first told me about this trip, I made a plan to take Kayden with us. Jo was ecstatic when I told her about this. So, the day before the trip, during breakfast, (Yeah, now Kay has his meals with his parents. Baby steps.....)

I told Kayden about our little trip and we invited him. But he denied it and didn't even show the slightest interest in meeting his grandparents. I tried playing the emotional card asking him, if he even considers me as his friend and so and so. But this guy is really stubborn that he said that this trip has nothing to do with our friendship and that I can take it however I like. I did shed a few fake tears and even Jo tried to convince him, but no. So, I ended up giving him the silent treatment the whole day and believe me people its something men can't tolerate. I had tried it with my brother Leo and believe me, it always works. Well Kayden was no exception and by the evening he was literally begging me to say something. But even then I didn't utter a single word rather I gave him a pained look and I cried my eyes out (To be honest, those were not at all fake tears. I was so sad that my plan was not working and I never expected Kay to be behave so rudely to me. By evening I lost all my hope and I was so devastated that when I saw him, I started crying. Well, I think tears are the only means to melt this guy's stone-cold heart and in the end it turned out to be an effective tactic) Seeing my tears, he panicked. He apologized a lot of times that I had lost the count and he promised that he'll do anything that I want (Oh yeah....Mission Accomplished!!!!!! )

Since he couldn't go back on his words, he came with us.

We reached there by noon. Its was a breathtaking little mansion near the beach. Jo's parents are a really sweet couple..... They were overjoyed to see Iva and more than that to see Kayden, that her mom took him into a bone crushing, crying and kissing him all over his face as soon as she saw him. It was later that I got to know the reason. They were actuallly meeting after 5 years. Kay never liked to meet any of his relatives including his grandparents from both sides. The only people he was in touch with were the Knight's and that was because he loved Ana like a big sister and the others were his childhood friends (I am so happy right now that I didn't give up on my plan. Though I did get a little hurt in the process, it ended up bringing smiles to the faces of Jo and her parents. Its more than what I've wished for)

Jessica, Justin and Sarah had already arrived when we got there. Jo's parents were so friendly and welcoming. They made me call them grandpa Will and grandma Liya. When I called them Mr and Mrs Sanders they asked me to call them by their name. But when I said that its too disrespectful in my culture they told me to add grandpa and grandma to their names. Isn't that so sweet!!! Grandma Liya gave me a tour of their house. Its a beautiful beach house and I'm already in love with their place. They own a few cruise ships and a shipping company which is one of the largest in the US.

In the evening, Justin proposed a night out at the beach and everyone liked his idea. So, we had a barbecue and gathering in the beach with Jo's family and I enjoyed it every bit. Also something interesting happened there. Sarah initiated a conversation with me. I'm happy that she's warming up to me.... We were starting to return to the house, when we met with a few of Justin's highschool friends (Justin used to stay here with his grandparents as they were living alone. So, he went to high-school here and then he got into Harvard. He's now staying in San Francisco with his parents) They invited us to a party on the other side of the beach. I didn't agree at first worried about leaving Iva alone. But Jo forced me to go and promised me that she'll call me if something happens. Kayden was also reluctant at first. But Justin pestered him a lot that he finally tagged along with us.

It was my first time going to such a party and to be honest I got scared seeing all the drunk people. Kayden noticed my nervousness and I ended up telling him that I don't drink and that I'm scared of parties. He offered to take me back to the house. I saw that Justin and Sarah were really excited and I didn't want to be a party popper. So, I refused to go back. But then what Kayden did really surprised me. He took my hand and said that he won't leave it till we reach back to the house. He also promised me that he won't drink for me (Isn't he wonderful!!!! I can't believe that he is the same playboy that Aves had talked about. I'm so happy that he is now my friend)

As promised Kay didn't leave my hand, not even for a second. Justin disappeared the second we got there. Sarah tried to sneak past us to get a drink inspite of being underage. But nothing can get past Kayden. He dragged her back to us and she ended up sulking in a corner sipping a lemonade.

However, the music there was so good. I also got to see the dancing skills of Kayden Justin and Sarah (Believe me, they are great dancers) And we danced till our legs gave up. Around midnight we decided to go back. Justin was so wasted that Kayden had to literally carry him back to the car and then to his bed. But to say the least, it was a great night.

It was already morning. I was up around 8 and I checked my phone to find a lot of messages from Adrian, Chase and Aves. Those two jerks have been texting me non-stop since the second I reached the Williams mansion. Both of them have been trying to apologize, but I didn't care to give them a reply yet. To be honest, I was mad at them initially, but not anymore. I just want to rile them up. So, what I'm currently doing is, I just read their messages and leave it at that. I can see that Adrian is getting frustrated day by day. He calls me like ten times a day, but I don't pick up any of his calls. Yesterday I decided to send him a reply and so I messaged him to first apologize to Josh and that I'll only answer his calls when Josh confirms it (I might appear cruel and I know that he probably haven't apologized to anyone other than his family till this day. But he must learn to rectify his mistakes. He can't go around hurting people and acting like its nothing)

Also a few days back, I had a group call with Emma, Becca and Lisa. I told them about everything that had happened. They advised me to stay cautious of both Adrian and Kayden. I didn't tell them about my feelings for Adrian. I'm sure that they'll call me crazy if they ever get to know about it. But what can I say, my stubborn heart is not as logical as my brain. Aves has been texting me all day asking about Kayden as she hates him a lot and I don't really know the reason. She was shocked to hear that we are now friends and she warned me to stay away from him as much as possible. I guess, she has never met the real Kayden.

I came down for breakfast with Iva in my arms. My baby seems to be so happy today. She turned 4 months last week, and eversince then she makes these cute cooing sounds whenever she's happy and she gives us a heart melting smile when we play with her.

Everyone except Justin was already there at the table. As soon as Iva saw Kayden, she started making cooing sounds at him. I cooed at her asking, 'Do you wanna go to uncle Kay ??? (I guess she liked the idea as she gave me a full blown smile)

Come on, lets give a goodmorning kiss to uncle Kay....' I said walking towards Kayden. Kayden took her from me and he started playing with her. She's now giving him her signature smile and coos. It may appear hard to believe. But the playboy who was disgusted by kids, now loves our Iva. We are now his two babygirls. Kay is my baby's new favorite person and she loves playing with him. Its the best thing that has happened in the last two days and everyone at the table is awestruck seeing the bond between Kay and Iva. Both Jo and grandma Liya gave me a grateful smile and I nodded back smiling.

After breakfast Jo and Jess told us to get ready. When Sarah asked them the reason, they said that they were going to take us on a little surprise trip. I changed into a royal blue floral wrap dress and wore my favourite white sneakers. I made a messy bun and wore the gold chain with cross pendant which had been gifted by my mom on my eighteenth birthday. I made Iva wear an onesie of the same color as my dress and I completed her look with a headband with a large bow (Aww.....my baby is looking so cute) I arranged her things in my bag, took my phone and came down with her. There were two black range rovers parked infront of the house and everyone was already there. Kayden was wearing a royal blue shirt and khaki shorts (Looks like we are matching!!!!!) Sarah was in a denim shorts and a pink tank top. Jo, Jess and grandma Liya wore similar maxi dresses of different shades. Grandpa Will and Justin were also in shorts like Kayden.

When Justin saw me he said pouting, Why didn't you guys tell us that you were matching your outfits. I would've worn something blue. But you guys are looking good together. 'Its just an accident Justin. I was myself surprised when I saw Kay' , I said laughing. You know what bro, great minds think alike, Kayden said smirking at him and everyone laughed at a sulking Justin.

Jo told us that its a 40 minute journey and she asked the four of us to get into the first car. She got into the one behind ours with her parents and Jess. It was a seven seater and the driver was already waiting for us. Sarah got into the front seat wanting to take control of the stereo. Justin got into the back seat wanting to sleep off his hangover (He is looking like a zombie right now) which left us, the three seats in the middle row. Iva doesn't like those baby seats and I usually take her in my arms or make her sit on my lap while traveling. So, I took her in my arms and got seated with Kayden beside me. She played a lot with Kayden and halfway through the journey she dozed off.

I woke up hearing Sarah's scream. The car is not moving anymore and she is standing outside screaming excitedly at something. (I guess I drifted off) Iva is still asleep in my arms. I looked around to find myself in Kayden's arms with my head resting on his shoulder. He is also sleeping. I tapped him on his shoulder saying, 'Kay wake up. I think we have reached'. He rubbed his eyes and looked outside bewildered. I can't believe I just slept in a car. Its my first time, he said frowning.

'I knew it. You are not human Kay. Are you by any chance a werewolf ??? You really look like those creepy alphas from werewolf novels' I said taunting him. Oh, so you fantasize me as a sexy werewolf alpha. Looks like my baby girl is not so innocent afterall, he said giving me a smug smile. 'Don't boost your ego Kay. I perfectly remember using the word "creepy" not "sexy" I said glaring at him. Oh, I heard it well, baby girl. You know, you can share all your fantasies with me and I'll be happy to help, he said air quoting the word fantasy. Iva started making cooing sounds seeming to enjoy our banter (Looks like she woke up hearing our argument)

'You are a real p*****t mister' I said scoffing. Whoa, I didn't mean anything of that sorts Rose (He said feigning innocence)

But what did you imagine babygirl ??? You are getting really naughty these days and if you want, I can become your personal p*****t, he said wriggling his brows and laughing (This j**k)

'I'm so gonna kill you Kay' I said screaming and before I could do anything, he ran out of the car shouting, This woman is going to kill me. (Real mature !!!!! Who even said that he is a playboy. He is much worse than a five year old. Such a baby....)

I got out of the car searching for him only to find our car parked infront of Disneyland.

OH MY GOD!!!!! How did we get here !!!!! It was always my dream to visit Disneyland (I know it sounds silly. But every adult has a child in them and I can't just avoid the little girl in me....)

I stood there dumbstruck. Suddenly Sarah came to me and pulled me into a hug yelling, We are in Disneyland, we are in disneyland!!!! I can't believe it!!!! Someone please pinch me. I just nodded my head still in shock. Suddenly Jo came to us and said smiling, So girls, how's our little surprise???We knew that both of you love this place and we all like it too. That's why we planned a family day out here (Oh, I do remember telling Jo that my childhood dream was to visit Disneyland)

I squealed and hugged her saying, 'Thank you so much Jo. You are the best. I am soooo happy right now'. Sarah too screamed out a thanks and started taking selfies.

What's with girls and your obsession with Disneyland ??? Its so silly, Justin said coming out of the car rubbing his eyes and the very next second we saw a furious Sarah chasing him down, calling him an i***t.

Its so cool... People dressed as Disney characters, food stalls, fun rides and a lot of children laughing and running around excited. Its just like I imagined.....

Both Justin and Kay are looking really bored. But Sarah and I, dragged them with us everywhere and now it seems like they are starting to enjoy the things. We bought those cute mickey ears and I made Kay and Iva to wear it. Kayden really hated it saying its so girlish but Iva seems to love her uncle with mickey ears that she has started cooing loudly looking at Kayden. Justin asked the three of us to pose. Kayden took Iva in his arms and he held me by my shoulders. The three of us smiled brightly at him. He even took a lot of candid shots.

We were giving him different poses when a family passing by us said, You are a really beautiful couple and your baby is so cute. Its rare to find such a beautiful young family these days. May God bless you both with more beautiful kids. We stood there dumbfounded at what they had said. Justin saved us by saying a thank you or else they would've thought that we were being rude to them and they walked away smiling and waving at us. I looked at Kay and we both broke into laughter. Justin is laughing hard holding his stomach.

This guy and kids!!!!! I can't believe this!!!!The world will end the day that he decides to get married, he said wiping his tears. 'Don't judge anyone, Justin. Wait till you see the real Kay and then you will take back what you just said' I said smiling.

Whoa, I didn't know that there was another version of me, Kayden said mocking me and Justin agreed to him.

'Believe me, the infamous badboy Kayden Williams is not the real Kay. Its just a facade. But I've met the real Kayden. He is so sweet, caring, thoughtful and a true gentleman. He is like a little boy trapped in a man's body' I said smugly. Kayden froze hearing my words.

Bro, who is this guy that El is talking about. I don't think he is real, Justin said laughing. But Kayden didn't laugh along. He looked at me with surprise and also with some other emotions which I couldn't figure out.

'Well, you are going to meet him soon Justin. Now come along. We have a lot more places to visit', saying this I dragged a confused Justin and awestruck Kayden with me.

It was a great day and we had a lot of fun. We reached back by around 10 at night. All of us were so tired that we went straight to the bed. To think back, today was probably one of the best days in my life. I have never felt so carefree and happy since I've started my career as a nurse. Also Jo and her family are really amazing. To be honest, Ana has completely transformed my life into something so amazing. It is because of her that I was able to meet a lot of people who loves me and cares for me. Thank you so much Ana for giving me this exciting new life......and the love of my life, our Iva.
