Elena's POV

When I reached the mansion, I noticed that a hot pink mini Cooper was parked in the front. Jesus, who paints their car in such a bright color!!!! As I got inside, I saw that a beautiful woman was sitting on the sofa, playing with her phone and Clara was serving her juice. She was approximately 5'6 with golden blond hair and blue eyes. She looked very lean and fit like a model. She was wearing a very revealing, tight, blue bodycon dress that was barely reaching her thighs and her face was caked with makeup (How is she even able to breathe in that dress !!!!) As soon as I walked past her, Clara asked me, Hi dear. How was the meeting with your friend ???

'Hey Masterchef, it went well. How is my baby ???' I asked giving her a side hug and she patted my head chuckling (Clara's cooking is to die for and so I always call her masterchef and she really likes that name) Iva has....as Clara started to speak, the model-like woman interrupted us and asked, Who are you ??? I've never seen you here before. Since you are so ugly, I would've noticed you before. Well, are you one of those poor maids who works here ??? (How rude !!!!! Who does she think she is !!!! Its so clear that she is the product of a number of plastic surgeries and she is calling me ugly.....See your face in the mirror first, you bimbo. Please don't test my patience woman....I'm already enraged because of one j**k. I don't want to deal with another brat right now)

'I'm sorry but I don't know you, miss. Also I'm only answerable to Mila. So, I would suggest you to better mind your own business' I said trying my best to be polite. She gasped at me and shouted, How dare you call Mrs.Knight, Mila. A filthy maid like you should only call her Madam. You really don't know your place, do you, ugly girl.... (Oh dear Lord, please don't test me....Calm down Elena. You are not like this pathetic woman. Always take the high road. I gave myself a little pep talk and took a few deep breaths to calm down)

'Miss, I really don't know you and I think you don't know me either. So please keep aside your prejudice and try to talk in a more civilized manner' I said trying to plaster a smile. You ugly.....before she could complete her words Mila walked in.

Mila looked at the three of us. She gave that woman a distasteful look and came towards me (Thank God. I was really worried if she was someone important to the Knights and that I would have to deal with her again. But looks like Mila hates her too. Well, the feelings are mutual Mila....) She gave me a short hug and asked, Sweetie you are back already !!!! Did you meet Josh ??? You should've spend more time with him. You rarely go out now.

'Its okay Mila. Anyway, Josh had to report to the hospital at 9. Also, I've already started missing my baby. Did she throw a fit ???' I asked concerned.

Oh God darling, she has been crying eversince she felt your absence. We tried our best to calm her down. But she didn't even let us touch her. My grandbaby is a really stubborn girl, she said sighing.

'Oh no, my baby' I gasped and ran upstairs. I heard Mila scolding me to slow down. I shouted a sorry and got into my room to change my clothes (I don't want my baby to get infected....) I rushed to the nursery and saw that Iva was crying her heart out. I immediately picked her up and cooed, 'I'm so sorry, my baby. Please don't cry. I will never leave you again'. Thankfully she stopped crying after a few minutes. I sang her a lullaby and she soon dozed off being tired from all the crying. My poor baby.....I feel so guilty for leaving her.

After she had slept, I called Josh. He picked up on the first ring (Was he

waiting for my call ???) Before I could say anything Josh started blabbering, Thank God that you called me. I was planning to call you anyway. Elena, I'm so sorry for ditching you like that. I didn't want to make things worse with Adrian. That's why I left then. Please forgive me. I'm feeling so guilty right now. I shouldn't have left you with him. Did he hurt you ??? Are you okay ??? Have you reached back ??? (This guy is so sweet. You are making me regret my choice Josh) 'Will you please calm down Josh !!!! I'm perfectly okay and I'm back at the mansion. Don't you dare apologize for what had happened. By far meeting you was the only good thing that has happened today. I'm happy that you chose to leave then or else Adrian would've said something hurtful to you. I can never stand such a thing...I apologize for the way that he acted today. You had to hear all of that because of me. I'm really sorry for dragging you into my mess' I apologized.

He was silent for a minute. Is he angry at me!!!! Of course Elena...How else do you expect him to react ??? He got humiliated because of you, my mind said mocking me) Josh.....I called his name getting worried about his silence. Suddenly I heard his laugh. Has he gone crazy!!!! I'm speechless right now.

Oh my God cutie. I was worried here thinking you would hate me for leaving you all alone and here you are apologizing to me. I can't believe it!!!! You are really naive. 'Will you stop teasing me Mister. I was really worried if you would hate me. I am happy now that you are not angry' I said smiling. Oh so you were worried about me......that's a first. I am so happy that I don't even care if I die this moment, he said laughing.

'Don't you have any work right now ??? Stop teasing me doc and go see your little patients or else they'll attack you with tickle monster' I said laughing.

This happened about 6 months back. There was a family emergency and Josh had to take a leave without any notice. When he came back to work after a week, his little patients punished him by a mass tickling. Josh is extremely ticklish and so you can imagine how that would've gone.

'Of course doc. You too take care and don't skip your meals. Bye' saying this I hung up.

I was in the nursery arranging Iva's clothes when Aves came in. 'How come you are here now ??? Aren't you supposed to be at work ???' I asked confused.

I'm hurt that you are so eager to get rid of me El....I just wanted to spend some time with my beautiful niece and my lovely best friend. Is my love that worthless ??? she said trying to wipe her imaginary tears (Drama queen)

'Oh good lord. Don't test my patience today Aves. I had to deal with two brats in the morning and it didn't go well. So, you better act normal around me or I might snap at you' I said warning her.

Whoa....What happened El ??? Is it that Dr.Josh didn't take the rejection well ??? she asked frowning.

'Oh believe me Aves, it has nothing to do with Josh. I'll explain everything. But before that tell me who was that rude woman who came to meet Mila in the morning ???' I asked frowning.

Aha, looks like you didn't like her too. Well, the feeling's mutual baby. She is Stacey Adams, a model. Her father is our business partner. She was my brother's ex-girlfriend or more like ex-fake girlfriend. They were friends with benefits and she had been acting as his girlfriend in front of the media to fool the public. A few months back he ended his relationship with her. But it looks like, that witch is hell bent on becoming his wife. She came here to convince my mom on making her Knight's daughter-in-law (I widened my eyes) Don't worry. Mom loathes her, she said laughing. (Urgh, why am I feeling uncomfortable hearing this??? Am I jealous??? No way, right!!!!! He really has a bad taste in woman. Wait....You know what, he actually deserves only a woman like her. In fact, he doesn't deserve my feelings)

El, what are you thinking about so deeply ??? Aves asked jerking me. 'Nothing. She called me ugly in the morning' I said scoffing. Believe me, its not the first time. According to her all other women on the earth are ugly, she said laughing. Now, tell me about your "date" with Dr.Josh, she said wriggling her brows and I glared at her. I told her everything about our meeting including how her brother ruined our day and she was shocked.

I can't believe this!!!! That i***t of my brother did that ??? What is his problem??? That's a first......He never did anything like that for any girl. Something's up, she said more like to herself. 'No idea' I said sighing and I focused back on my work.

A few minutes later, I felt something on my hair. I turned to see that Aves was playfully pulling my hair. 'Oh good lord. You just scared me. I thought you had already left' I said trying to calm my raging heart.

I'm so sorry El. I thought you had noticed me. Well...I need your help and I don't know how to say this, she said smiling sheepishly (Is this about what I think it is....) 'Its okay. Just tell me whats the matter ???' I asked narrowing my eyes.

The thing is this. I want your help with Ryan. Because I think I've messed up, she said holding my hands. 'Excuse me miss. As far as I can remember, you were the one who avoided me when I came to talk about him. So, tell me why should I help you now ???' I asked raising my brow.

I'm really sorry. I'm in desperate need of your help. I did something foolish and that involves you. I took his number from your phone and messaged him. But he got angry and asked me how I got his number. I panicked and told him that you gave it to me. He warned me to stop disturbing him and said that he'll talk to you about this. I'm really really sorry, El. I never wanted to involve you in this, she said apologizing. I stood there with my mouth wide open. (When did this happen ??? I'm literally speechless right now)

Please say something El...she said getting worried. 'How the heck did you take his number from my phone ???' I asked dumbfounded.

Who in their right mind will not lock their phone. You should consider setting a fingerprint lock in your phone, she said reasoning.

'You..you....Arghh, I don't know what to call you. You just thank God, that I don't swear' I said exasperated. I'm so sorry okay. I know what I did was wrong. But I promise you that I will never open your phone without your permission again. I was desperate okay!!!!! Please forgive me, she said pleading. I stood there in silence. Please El. Please help me this once. I really really like him. I've never felt this way to any guy before, not even to my ex-boyfriend. Please help me, she said giving me those puppy-dog eyes (Argh....This is cheating. She knows that I can't resist cuteness) 'Fine. Apology accepted. But first let me talk to Ryan. Then I'll see what I can do' I said giving up. She squealed and hugged me tight, screaming, Thank you, thank you so much El. You are an angel. 'Okay....okay.....But before that I need you to listen to what I have to say about Ryan' I said holding her hands and she nodded. I told her everything about Ryan - his attitude, his past relationships, his stand on relationships and his behavior towards women. 'Aves in short he might hurt you so much. Now tell me do you still want him ???' I asked.

I don't care how he was. I don't care if I'll get hurt. But I want him at all costs. I think I'm in love with him and I'm ready to sacrifice everything for him, she said with tears in her eyes (This girl has got it real bad)

'Hey, don't worry. I'll do everything I can. He may hurt you a lot. But please don't lose hope, okay. Because I know that deep down he has a heart that yearns for love and I'm pretty sure that a sweet and sassy girl like you can conquer that heart' I said smiling. Suddenly Aves hugged me and said sobbing, I feel like I'm talking to Ana. Thank you so much for being there for me. I love you so much El.

'I love you too Aves. Now stop crying and gear up, for we have a playboy to tame and it'll need a lot of work' I said laughing. Yeah, you are right sis, she said smiling.

I'll have to talk to Ryan tonight. I'm sure that he won't agree to anything like this. But we'll take baby steps. I don't want him to destroy his life like this. He is not even in good terms with his parents due to his lifestyle. He needs someone to take care of him and I am confident that Aves will do it well, as this girl is hopelessly in love with him. I hope everything will end well.

Its dinner time and thankfully Adrian is not here. I don't know how I would react if I see him right now. I'm still angry at him. However Chase is sitting opposite to me and is giving me an apologetic look (Looks like he got my warning) I gave him an evil grin and stabbed the steak on my plate with my fork. Yep, he has got my message and he seems to be petrified. This is my strategy on revenge. Scare the enemy the best you can and then attack at the most unexpected time. I was planning my revenge on him when Mila called my name and said, Sweetie, today I got a call from Joanna. She wants to spend some time with Iva and she would like to take her to their house for a week. Afterall its her father's house. But I know that she won't stay away from you. So, can you please go with her. Its just for a week and then you can return (Eventhough I am not comfortable around Albert, I love Jo. Also I will be able to stay away from the two idiots here. So I guess I'll go)

'I'm okay with it Mila. I'll go with Iva. Also I really miss talking to Jo' I said smiling. Oh, that's great, because Joanna was saying the same thing on the phone. Well then, start packing your things. She'll be here by noon, Mila said happily. I nodded smiling. Looks like I'll be spending my next week with the Williams.
