The just-risen sun shone softly on the city streets, the light of dawn seeped into her new room. Clair woke up, rubbed her bleary eyes, and turned to the other side of the bed to pick up the incessant ringing of her phone. Usually, her phone is always in silent mode or airplane mode, but Clair thought yesterday of putting a ringtone with vibration so that she could answer whenever Creux calls her.
