Leonard's POV:-
"Daddy, you bwing mommy?" My little princess asks.
"Yes, baby I will bring mommy for you." I reply not having the heart to tell her that I don't want her to get closer to that woman.
"Yeeeeeee... Me go say dis glama." By saying this she happily skips out of my room and start calling out for Mom who is downstairs talking to others.
I look at the mirror before releasing a sigh of defeat knowing I can't back out of the marriage. As the alpha of the biggest pack in the world, I have a reputation to keep. Also, I can't hurt my innocent daughter's feelings who is eagerly waiting for her 'new mommy'.
I have chosen a classic black three-piece suit with a white shirt underneath. Instead of wearing a long tie, I have decided to wear a black bow tie to match with my suit. Even if I am not happy with the marriage, I have to look good because the media will be there to take pictures and I have to maintain my image in the paparazzi. It's not like I am fan of them, but as a business entrepreneur I am bound to interact with them.
After spraying some cologne on both wrists and neck, I get out of the room. I walk downstairs where everyone is already waiting for me. Unfortunately, Dad is not here as he has to gone to the Waterfall Moon Pack to sign a treaty with them. Mom walks towards me with her mouth streched in a big smile indicating the happiness she is feeling.
"My baby is looking so handsome." Mom remarks kissing me on the left cheek while Sarah starts giggling like there is no end.
"What's with the giggling fit?" Martha asks amusingly.
"Glama call daddy baby. But he bwig boy." Again my princess starts giggling and this time we all laugh hearing her words. I go near her and pick her up giggling self in my arms before nuzzling my face in her neck making her laugh louder.
"Okay, I think that's enough. Sarah come to me and let your daddy go so that he can bring your new mommy fast." Martha says taking Sarah from me.
I bid goodbye to them and walk out of the house followed by Mom, Samuel and some of the other pack members who are going to be present during the wedding. All of us take pur personal cars and start the journey to Culver City where the Mighty Crescent Pack is located. It's only take us fifteen minutes to reach there and no doubt that the Alpha Thomas has spent a lot money on the decorations for the wedding.
He along with his beta welcome us inside and lead us towards the backyard where the wedding will take place. I stand in the altar while Samuel stands beside me as the Best Man. There are some other pack members who are attending as the groomsmen.
Although at first, I didn't feel anything but now standing here I am feeling a little bit of nervousness. Maybe it's the pressure of getting in a relationship with a complete stranger or the thought of unintentionally giving Grace's plact to someone else. I feel like I am betraying my late mate by marrying someone else.
Suddenly 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Shareen starts playing breaking me away from my thoughts. I look towards the entrance from where the Maid Of Honor along with the Bridesmaids walk out followed by a little girl whom I think is the flower girl.
Finally the woman whom I am marrying walks out holding her father, Alpha Thomas's elbow like a perfect daughter. All the nervousness that I was feeling earlier has vanished completely and now all I am feeling is hatred just seeing this vile woman. For others she may be a perfect woman but in my point of view she is always going to be a power hungry person.
However, I have to admit that Abigail is incredibly beautiful and seeing her up close I can see that she is a natural beauty. Her green orbs are complimenting her pale skin so perfectly that if she hadn't applied makeup, I am sure she would have looked beautiful. Also, her height is making her look adorable. Wait! Did I just compliment her looks? What the f**k is wrong with me?
The pastor starts the wedding by praying to Moon Goddess for the well-being of the couple and then read some holy lines from the book of werewolf ancestors.
"Friends, we have been invited here today to share with Leonard Ruso and Abigail Wilson on one of the most important moments in their lives. In the time they have been together their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured. Now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife.
We have been invited to hear as they promise to face the future together, accepting whatever may lie ahead. For the world that God has created for them, with its beauty and grace that is all around, with the strength that it offers and the peace that it brings, makes them truly grateful.
Nothing is easier than saying words and nothing harder than living them day after day. What you promise today must be renewed and redecided tomorrow. At the end of this ceremony legally you will be man and wife, but you still must decide each day that stretches out before you, that you want to be married.
Real love is something beyond the warmth and glow, the excitement and romance of being deeply in love. It is caring as much about the welfare and happiness of your marriage partner as about your own. But real love is not total absorption in each other; it is looking outward in the same direction together. Love makes burdens lighter, because you divide them. It makes joys more intense because you share them. It makes you stronger so you can reach out and become involved with life in ways you dared not risk alone." He then turns towards the crowds and asks who gives away the bride in which Alpha Thomas replies saying that he is giving away the bride.
"Do you, Leonard Ruso take Abigail Wilson as your lawfully wedded wife; to live together with her in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor, and cherish her? Do you promise to be faithful unto her as long as you both live?" The pastor asks me.
"I do." I reply while looking at Abigail who gives me a nervous smile.
"Do you, Abigail Wilson take Leonard Ruso as your lawfully wedded husband; to live together with him in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor him, and cherish him? Do you promise to be faithful unto him as long as you both live?" The pastor asks Abigail.
"I do." Abigail answers timidly.
Then the pastor asks for the ring bearer to come forward with the wedding rings. On the cue, Mom comes forward and hand a jewelry box to the pastor who gives me a wedding asksd and asks me to put it on Abigail's left hand's ring finger which I do. He then gives Abigail a wedding band before asking her to put the band on my left hand's ring finger.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you as the husband and wife. I would like to introduce the happy couple of today's ceremony, Mr. And Mrs. Ruso to you all." The pastor announces before facing me.
"You may now kiss the bride." He says while I clench my fist in anger because no way I am kissing someone other than my mate. But I can't show my anger in front of so many people, that's why I bend down and kiss the side of Abigail's lip so that it looks like I am kissing her.
