"Doing anything for Thanksgiving next week," Ling Xu asked as we walked to class together. Nearly two months had passed since she asked for help getting her guys into the States from China. Aurelius made a couple of calls, called in some favors, and the guys were supposed to be in the States by Christmas. She was a happy camper, and the gesture made her a close ally.
"I'm really not sure. Campus has been way too quiet. I've got a feeling in my gut we're not going to have a break." We entered the classroom building and started up the stairs. Ling Xu had mentioned heading out west for a short sightseeing break. She said China had some great scenery but nothing like the Grand Canyon. "I bet you're looking forward to your guys coming over."
