Maggie wakes to the smell of wonderful coffee. “You snore, you know?” Maggie rubs her eyes and snorts at her friend’s comment. “Good morning to you too.” Maggie was still in her clothes from the night before. They talked until the early hours of the morning, and she was the one who finished both bottles of wine and then some. She was surprised that Cheryl, who usually meets her drink for a drink, only had one glass. “How are you feeling this morning?” Cheryl hands Maggie a glass of water and two aspirin. “Like a snowball in hell.” “I don’t think that’s the way the expression was meant to be used, but I get ya’.
