Chapter 6 Tristan started awake and blinked, looking around at the unfamiliar room. His mind raced as he tried piecing together the night before. What had he done? What i***t had he gone home with this time? Then he realized he was in Rain’s apartment, in the back room. So he hadn’t gotten plastered and left the club with the shooter boy. No, he was sitting on a pile of fabric with Rain asleep at his side. Relieved and a little surprised at his luck, Tristan gazed down at Rain’s peaceful face. The sun was rising, but the window was open and there was a cold draft coming into the room. Tristan touched Rain’s bare shoulder; his skin was cool.
