Chapter 2 They sat together on a bench just outside of the cafeteria. Kim said, “I picture him in a tweed suit, tall and handsome with glasses and wide, curious eyes. What do you think he’ll look like?” Molly didn’t have an answer. She was angry at herself for not delivering the truth. Stealing a glance of Kim’s face, she looked like an innocent mouse stumbling across a piece of cheese without seeing the trap connected to it. Finally, Molly said, “I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.” As the hours passed, the pair grew silent and sad. It was clear that the doctor wasn’t coming. Stone-faced, Molly said, “I guess we better get back home.” “Are you okay?” Molly asked. Slowly shaking into tears, Kim said, “No.” They returned to the car together with Kim saying, “I really don’t w
