Chapter Four : Anxiety This was his childhood home, there was nothing homey about it. The moment I stepped floor it, two maids rush towards me grabbing my coat of along with my bag. I step onto white marble; the walls were crisp white with poles hanging from the ceiling to the ground. When you set foot inside, you first see the little living room in the hall way, where two chairs opposite each other sat along with a coffee table made form glass and a flower pot on top. A lamp by each chair, ahead of it stood the stairwell, it was only one but I can see the number of stairs would tire me out already. Carpet on top of the marble stairs sat perfectly, the hand rail was a dark brown like the carpet, the patterns on the ceiling were like Greek architecture. Curtains draped to the ground revealing the huge semi-circle windows. Beautiful painting, which looked expensive stood. But only one caught my eye, Ace walks in before me, Rodrigues held onto Rose and back to the stairs stood four girls, and an older woman at the front. “Ace, I see you have decided to come back home.” His mother interrupted the silence. “And with a woman and a child?” She said almost despitefully. “This woman is my wife, and that child is also mine. And it has been a long flight, I think we are all tired.” His mother steps down from the stairs, lifting her dress as she scales near us. I stood beside Ace, almost an arm behind him. His mother reaches me, she lifts my chin and glares into my eyes. “You are pregnant.” She said, I nod my head knowing she was not asking a question but stating a simple fact. “Do you know who we are?” “I do.” “So, you know, that Ace is the leader of the biggest Mafias,” “I do.” I repeated. “Selling drugs, weapons and-” “Enough mother, as I said, she is tired and jet lagged.” He slips his hands into my own and pulls me up the stairs, pushing past the four women who watched my every move like I did to his father. The stairs were soft, due to the carpet underneath my shoe. We reached the top of the stairs, a balcony which revealed the entrance we came in from. We walk down the hallways, passing maids who cleaned the frames and polished the table against the walls between every door. Ace shuffles through his pockets, unleashing a set of keys as he inserts one inside he then pushes a door open, revealing a huge bedroom. The size of another house more like it, it had everything inside, a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a walk-in closet. “I have scheduled a doctors appointment to see the child’s growth, and to make sure you are healthy to keep a hold of the baby.” “Why would I not be healthy?” “Reasons, also, the child’s life is already planned out. He would have one billion in his trust fund, a private school, all the way till college, he would be training for the Mafia for two years and take over for his entire life.” He said, his hands tucked deeply into his pockets. I rose a surprised brow. “Excuse me?” “You are excused.”   “This is my child too Ace, and I have a say in things such as him being in the Mafia. That is a big no for me.” “He is my son.” “And he is my son too.” “He will be in the mafia, whether you like it or not.” “Look at yourself Ace, you are not living a good life, you are surrounded by people who you hate, look at your father-” “My father? At least my father did not force me to keep a child I did not want-” “You didn’t want me?”  I am so shocked by the words he decided to leave, that I hadn’t noticed Rose standing by the door. Because all I did was look him in the eyes, wondering how he could use such a thing in his defence of our argument. “No, no of course mummy wanted you.” Rose shook her head, rushing out of the bedroom. “Rose!” I notice Rodrigues still standing in the corner, he heard everything. “Arabella, I did not mean-” “No, you did and it is out. Thank you Ace.” I push past him, rushing through out the hallways as I call for Rose, my fingers rush through my head as I take short breaths. I try to calm myself down but I knew I was having an anxiety attack, the ones I used to have in the florists, I need my pills. I lean against the wall, seeing a figure walking at the end of the hallway. The body crouches down in front of me, and my eyes link his. “Arabella, breathe…breathe.” Rodrigues whispers. Memories of the last anxiety attack I had shut through. "Fine. Six months otherwise I will kick you out." I nodded my head as he slammed the door shut behind him. My body slouched onto my chair, my hands wanting to pull out every strand of my hair. I was stressing again and my anxiety was eating me up, I felt like I was having another anxiety attack. I began breathing heavily, my head hurting me from the late nights. I slowly stand up from the chair beneath me and stumble towards my bag, ripping it open as I start looking for my pills. "Who-where are they?" I whispered to myself, shredding the thing inside. I screamed angrily and flipped my back inside out as everything fell onto the floor. “Where are they?” I shouted; Rodrigues gave a confused brow. “Where are they?! When-where are they?” “Arabella, calm down-” He tried to touch me. “Don’t touch me! Get off of me!” I screamed; he stumbles back as I push him roughly away from me. He raised both hands ins surrender as another shadow interrupts my sight. Before I know it, his eyes, his eyes locked my own. Rodrigues moves out of the way. He strokes my cheeks; his touch lingers on my skin. “Respira Arabella, guardami, inspira, espira, inspira, espira.” I followed his instructions. [Breathe Arabella, look at me, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale] Suddenly, tears leave my eyes. "It's okay Bella." I stuttered the tears that streamed down my eyes, I crawled up in her arms in a ball. "I'm so tired," I whispered, she nods her head and strokes my hair. "I know baby, I know. Calm down now, alright. I think you should talk to your therapist again. You always feel better when you do." She suggested, I sighed nodding my head knowing she was right. He pushes my head against his chest as he sat onto the ground with me, he strokes the back of my hair. Calming me down, only for images of everything bad that happened in my life because of me. The fire was everywhere, my flowers, my work, my life's work gone down in flames. I screamed her name over and over again. "Lauren! Lauren!" I rush to the stock room; the door wouldn't budge because of the fallen brick. I pick them up, holding my breath as I throw them to the side. The moment the door opens I see Lauren laying on the ground. I screamed as tears fall down my eyes, I rush towards her and try pull her up to her feet. The fire was getting worse. "Lauren help me please, come on." She wasn't responding, I crouch down and throw her over my back. I urge myself to stand up but she was too heavy. "Lauren come on, come on." I cried out, tears blocking my view as the heat was burning through my skin. I push myself up, carrying her over my back I walk out of the stock room, seeing a fire brigade rushing to me. “I ruined everyone’s life.” I whispered. “I ruined Laurens, I ruined Malissa’s, I ruined Roses and now I am going to ruin your child.” I sob into his chest. “No, you did no such thing Bella, no such thing at all…and it is our child. You are as just important.” I do not know how long it has been, but we sat on the floor together, for so long he took the decency to pick me up and carry me back to the bedroom. I had not notice di fell asleep, but only my eyes were closed. I feel myself being placed onto the bed, my shoes were being removed, my jacket was stripped of and the hair band was long gone. The covers flung over my body, “mummy didn’t want me?” I hear her voice. “Rose, mummy is upset, and so was I, I said things I should not have said.” “Is it true?” “Come sit here,” Ace whispers. “Mummy loves you so much Rose, you are the light of her life. She wanted you so very much without knowing, you helped her Rose, you are her Hero, now, mummy is not feeling well, so give her a kiss and let us tuck you in bed.” . . . I smash my lips against his. His hands wrap around my waist as I continue sucking his lips, his tongue dives into my mouth as I release a moan or two. My arms wrap around his neck as we begin walking backwards, his hands slide underneath my shirt as he slowly lifts it over my head. My ass collides against the island counter, Ace lifts me on top as he spread my legs to fit himself in. His lips collide with my neck as he sucks harder, I moan in pleasure as he rips of my bra, throwing it to the floor. I grab his white shirt and rip the buttons open before sliding it down his arms revealing every single tattoo. I know, deep down I shouldn’t be doing this, but I don’t care. I really don’t, no feelings involved. Just s*x. I unbuckle his belt, allowing it to loosen up from around his waist. I rest my lips onto his own neck. He pulls down my shorts along with my underwear, he licks his fingers before rubbing onto my p***y. I gasp as I feel his member against me, within seconds he pushes himself inside. “Ohh-right there.” I moaned out as he pounds himself inside of me, my hands grab onto his black locks. I scream in pleasure, feeling his hands slap against my mouth. “Let’s not wake up Rose, shall we?” I am nearly there, just a few more thrust, a few more thrust. And with that, he pounds inside of me once more before grabbing me of the counter and pushing me breast down onto the counter. I whimper out a few words as he thrust himself inside of me, perfectly. I tense around him, “are you nearly there?” He whispers. The answer was the last thrust, I grab onto my hands as I erupt a loud moan, a moan of utter pleasure. He removes himself from me, I slide my underwear back up, not feeling my legs as I hold onto him for stance. He holds my upper arm; I glance into his perfect eyes before he pushes a strand of my hair behind my hair. “Mummy?” I feel my arm being nudged, my eyes shoot open as I see Rose right next to me, oh my god. I just had a s*x dream. About Ace. “Can you get me warm milk please?”
