CHAPTER 1

"Should I put all of your clothes, Reyven?" I shook my head while finally putting the newspapers down.

I have just finished having breakfast with Aunt Mary. She is not literally my aunt, as I prefer calling her that, since she is already a family to me.

"Just put some important clothes on. I don't need to wear some fancy dresses since I am there to work. Besides, my condominium is just near my future boss's mansion, I can just come here if I want to." I explained while helping her from folding some of my stretchable pants, jackets and some underwear.

Aunt Mary works here in the building. She cleans all the condominiums here, but we are closer among the people here. Maybe because she knows that I don't have any family and relatives, I don't even know who my parents are. Aside from that, I am the one who helped her to get a job here.

I just grew up in an orphanage where she also worked for before. She is a janitor there. I was just fourteen at that time, maybe also the reason why we stick together as a family now. We only have each other and I don't want to ask for more anymore. Every time I have a long project to finish, I let Aunt Mary clean my condo.

It always takes many months before I come back here after different projects and gladly, Aunt is always there to welcome me.....just like a family.

"I will be working for the Leviste family for this year." I shared with Aunt Mary.

She just nodded even if I knew that she didn't like the idea of it.

"Be careful. I know that you are a great agent, but I still want you to take care of yourself." She uttered without even looking at me.

I sighed and didn't answer her.

"I just hope that you are not there for your self interests." She added that triggered me to open this topic again.

"You know that it's not just for my personal interest, Aunt Mary. It's for the kids, for their future that has been ruined by the power they have." I gritted my teeth before sighing.

"But I am still going there for work and also trying my luck to know the truth." I added and she did not speak again, maybe also tired as well for always stopping me from doing it.

I've been doing this before but now that I already have the biggest opportunity, I won't waste it. It's been ten years since that incident happened. I am just fourteen when I started to burry hatred inside my heart. I grew up being with the people I already considered as family. With those kids who also want to have a better life, those kids who also dreamed of eating delicious foods in front of the table. They are my family but people with money, people who already have everything in life ruined it.

They are greedy.

The desire of them to always stay in the top ruined the innocence of those kids who have nothing but also the desire of having a normal life.

I can still remember the every detail of it. I am too young that time but too old to not understand the situation.

One day some people went to the orphanage and said they would buy the land on which the orphanage stands. They were wearing suits and elegant dresses. They looked respectable but not their souls and personality, they are disgusting for ruining the lives of innocent.

Nuns did not agree about what they want. They didn’t want to sell the lot. Those business men got mad for the orphanage’s decision. We enjoyed our lives inside and we continue all the routines that we are used of doing just like the past years, months, and days of our lives there.

But one day while living our life simply together with the other children inside, suddenly an unknown man entered the orphanage and burned the place. Everything was like thunder to us that suddenly ruined the tranquility of our lives.

It was unexpected and everyone was shocked and traumatized.

We all know that he was paid. He was paid so that they could finally own the place. I can still remember how the authorities refused to investigate the case even if almost half of the children died because of it. Nuns don't have enough money to build the orphanage again. The other kids have been sent to another orphanage and we did not have had a chance to build our dreams together again. I don't know, it happened many years ago, ten years ago, but the pain is still there.

It's been so long and the painful memories are still there. The place where I tried to create my dreams before is now a company, a successful building that is owned by a rich family. The Leviste Empire.

"Take care," Aunt Mary waved her hand before I started to drive a car provided by the TMS for me.

I am not using my own car for this job. I already have all my stuffs that is needed. It's Sunday and it's already four in the afternoon. I've heard that Mr. Ferdinand Leviste's flight is earlier and he is gone now for a trip. I hope this will be easy work for me.

I just need to guard them since I didn't hear some cases to solve this.

After a few minutes of driving, I finally arrived in the village where Leviste Mansion is located. I wanted to be professional here. I know I have some issues in life, but I am doing my investigation professionally too. I don't want revenge, I just want to seek justice and both of them should be in process, separately.

Their mansion is so big that it really screams power and success. I heaved a sigh and talked with the guards there for a while before finally getting inside.

There’s a hallway towards the main entrance of the mansion. The side to side of the hallway are full of flowers that is trying to refresh the whole place. I can also see the big fountain in the wide garden in front of the house.

Very rich? No. Super rich.

"Ma'am, Mr. Adelard told me to guide you to your room. His Dad told him that you are staying. Are you his new personal body guard?" I raised my brows when a maid greeted me. She asks a lot but I just nodded to her last question.

"You can guide me after I talk to him." I answered, because I really needed to talk with that Adelard Leviste. I hope he will be kind to me because I won't hesitate to hurt him a little if needed.
