While Ronald and Duza were enjoying a ‘Battleship’ game with those twisted rules, Ma Yangfa put down the book he was reading and went for the door of his house. Someone was knocking at it very lightly. At first, he thought it was the wind, but after the second set of knockings, he realized it was someone visiting.
Ma Yangfa lived in a small house in the far east of the City of Durant, very close to the wall that surrounded it. His neighbours were either simple people with little possessions or old prostitutes who managed to gather some money to buy a house.
Many of them joined forces and bought a house with two or three rooms, making a weird family of old prostitutes that still managed to receive clients or give lessons and advice to any woman who wanted to do that kind of work.
