After the obligatory jeering, cheering, clapping, kissing, laughing, hugs and high-fives, Carrie turned back to their slave. Seeing his incredulity turning to horror made her burst out laughing all over again. She leaned down and placed a commiserating kiss on his cheek.
“Don’t fear, darling. The snake shall envenom us again. But we’ve decided such a monster must remain safely caged – whenever it’s not engaged in making repayment. Especially if we’re ever going to let you out in public, or out of our sight.”
