CHAPTER FOURTEENBy the summer of 1974, Jesse was becoming well known as the counterculture reporter at the Journal Gazette. So well known that he received an anonymous tip one afternoon that m*******a plants were growing in plain view near the sheriff’s entrance to the Allen County Courthouse. He was working on a story about the teachers’ union getting ready to strike, but cannabis growing at the courthouse was too good to pass up.
