Chapter 4
Frank and Mark went down to breakfast the next morning. Some of the flat screens on the walls of the cafeteria were tuned to the U’s campus channel. As they walked into the cafeteria, Frank heard a familiar voice. He looked up at the nearest TV and saw Bill. He was being interviewed about the upcoming weekend’s away game as the team loaded buses. He was dressed in a suit and wore a tie. He looked spectacular, filling out the suit to perfection.
“Big game this weekend, Bill,” the interviewer said.
Bill stroked the stubble on his face with his thumb and index finger. “Well, Sue, they’re all big games at this point. So, yeah, it is big, but we think of them all alike. Win one at a time.”
“You’ve got an even bigger challenge next week—the big rivalry game. Any predictions?”
Bill smiled. “One game at a time, Sue, one game at a time.”
“That’s all you’re gonna give me, right?”
“That’s right, Sue.”
“Well, thanks, Bill. Good luck!”
“Thanks, Sue. Go Blue!”
“That was Bill Billingsly, our all-conference tight end…”
“Bet he’s coached to say s**t like that,” Mark said.
Frank turned to his roommate and frowned.
“Okay, I know.” Mark held up his hands as if in surrender. “You think the guy walks on water. But I say he’s just like all the rest—a dumb jock.”
“I know you don’t like him, but why do you say stuff like that? You don’t know him.”
“And you know so much about him? Let’s see, you’ve had one conversation with him about a weight lifting machine, and he calls you Frodo,” Mark retorted, stroking his chin in imitation of Bill in his interview.
Frank didn’t have a comeback for Mark. He just turned and headed for the serving line. Mark was right. Frank didn’t know a thing about Bill except that he was handsome, hot, and apparently, from what he’d witnessed the previous night at the gym, liked guys. That was probably the reason Bill was cruising the athletic locker rooms when he had one of his own reserved for the football team. The other thing Frank knew was that he’d give his right nut to be with Bill in that way.

On game day that week, Frank didn’t try to coax Mark into watching the game with him as he usually did. He wasn’t up for more negativity about Bill from his roommate. The two had avoided the subject ever since breakfast a few days earlier.
Frank watched the game with some of the other students from his freshman dorm on one of the lounge televisions. The U of M won the game handily, and Bill was a prominent reason for the victory. He caught two passes for touchdowns, as well as making key blocking plays throughout the game.
Bill was once again interviewed on national television following the contest. Frank listened carefully to how Bill responded to every question. Frank could see nothing in his answers that indicated the man was anything but intelligent and a stand-up kind of guy.
However, try as he might, he couldn’t get the image of Bill and what he’d seen on that night with Dennis at the gym out of his mind as he watched the interview. He squirmed uncomfortably, trying to hide his hard c**k from view as it demanded release from the prison of Frank’s tight blue jeans.
