I sit rigidly, my fingers clenched around the edge of my skirt. Opposite me, Attorney Salazar, stern-faced with steely eyes, leans forward, his gaze fixed on me. "I know about your husband's scandal. That's your main reason for filing for divorce, I remember." I swallow hard, my throat dry. I cast a quick glance at Knox, whose hand finds mine, offering silent reassurance. With a trembling breath, I turn my attention back to Attorney Salazar. "Yes, it is," I say, my voice barely above a whisper. Attorney Salazar’s eyes narrow slightly as he continues, his tone measured. "But how about the other allegation? Of you and Mr. Montemayor’s… uhm… is there any truth to that?" My cheeks heats up with embarrassment as I glance apologetically at Knox again. I feel as though every eye in the room
