Jesse's P.O.V.
"How about we go get some lunch?" Ares asked me, breaking the silence again.
"I don't know that I want to be out in public right now." I sighed.
"I'll keep you safe. I know what's going on now. I'm going to start keeping my visions open. I'll make sure to help you avoid him from now on." He promised, making me feel secure.
"Thanks Arie. I knew I could count on you." I smiled, staring at the grass ahead.
Ares has been there more for me than anyone else recently. He helped rescue me from the vampire den. He tried helping me with Damon on the training ground. He held me when I cried. He made it to where no one could tell I'd had a meltdown. He helped me win the fight yesterday when Damon stole my shadow. Now he's going to help me with this.
